We arrived in the middle of a heatwave. Our request had not been actioned from booking but we were given a room appropriate. Sadly the AC was blowing out heat so had to be moved to another room. The AC works but not as it should and this affected our sleep as the room was very warm. No opening windows.Its not adequate to cool the room and I have seen other comments regarding this. The room was lovely with tea facilities with coffee machine. Complimentary bottle of water. The fridge also was not efficient as we put water in overnight and still lukewarm in the morning. The breakfast was varied and shuts at 10am. It is a 20 minute walk to the centre. The staff were very helpful and booked a taxi for us and explained where pick up would be as the access is on floor -2. I would contemplate staying in the hotel in cooler months but never again in summer.

Service is exceptional and the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming. From the moment you arrive, you feel completely looked after throughout your stay, with thoughtful little perks that make a difference, like complimentary ice cream and even a free drink if you opt out of room cleaning. A special mention has to go to Giuseppe. His passion and attention to detail are evident. Giuseppe’s raspberry cosmo is hands down the best cocktail I’ve ever had.

Service rather standard. Everything beyond the bare minimum only at an extra fee. Room okay but dusty. Some wear is noticeable. Mold in the sink. No way to open windows, firmly shut. A/C didn’t work properly, it was set at maximum temperature likely by a previous guest. When it got cold in the evening we tried to warm up the room a bit but it didn’t work for us either, it was only cold air. Toilet stained, TP roll stained, dust. As usual, an overpriced minibar with junk food. A couple coffee pads and tea bags, and a kettle. I believe there was also a complimentary bottle of water there. Location amazing. Nearby pond and nearby park are two true gems. Plus the plaza is very nice.

The bar at NH Collection Cologne Media Park is great — Giuseppe makes it unforgettable. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels, but the bar experience here genuinely stood out, and it’s all because of Giuseppe. From the moment I sat down, he had this effortless, warm presence that made the whole place feel like somewhere you’d actually want to spend your evening rather than just grab a quick drink. He took the time to ask what I was in the mood for, remembered my preferences as the night went on, and crafted cocktails that were honestly some of the best I’ve had in Cologne. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does — the care and precision in every drink shows it. What sets Giuseppe apart is that rare combination of professionalism and personality. He kept the conversation flowing naturally, made sure every guest around the bar felt looked after, and did it all without ever making it feel rushed or performative. The atmosphere he creates is relaxed, classy, and just fun. If you’re staying at the NH Collection Media Park or just passing through Cologne — stop by the bar and ask for Giuseppe. You won’t regret it.

I don't think there's anything to complain about, it was a great place, rooms were spacious, clean, huge windows, so a great view, bathroom was big, it was perfect. Big 5* ;) Also a big shout out to the Thai Staff at the reception (i didn't ask his name, but if i remember well it said Choti or something like that on his name tag) he was really nice and helped us on all our requests! I know that most hotels read reviews, so please forward this to him and make his day. He's a great staff ;) Location also great, i came by car, parking was right under the hotel, and then it's an approx 15 mins walk to the cathedral area
