The only issue we had is they charged us $125 to check at noon. Their normal time is 4 o’clock. I thought that was crazy but would only allow us to have a late check out at 1130.. Other than that it was good. Staff was very nice and room was clean.

Everything you could possibly want at a resort hotel. Large pool, swim up bar and beachfront.

Staff were amazing and friendly, food was mostly really good, not too too pricey. The room was beautiful and quiet, would recommend the ocean view room! We had a blast here and will be returning.

After looking at a number of places to stay for our 20th anniversary, we settled on the Royal Sonesta. This place was absolutely amazing, very nice and clean, with kind and welcoming staff. It's right on the beach, with loungers and umbrellas available for hotel guests. There's a bar and restaurant right on the beach as well. The food and drinks were very good, and the swim up bar was nice once it reopened 5 days into our 7 days stay. If I were to note some areas for improvement, I would start with the refrigerator in our room. It kept freezing items we put into it, even at the lowest setting. Meals and drinks at the hotel proved to be too expensive for us after only a few days, so we stopped at a grocery store for supplies. However we ended up with frozen yogurt and fruit in the morning after placing those items in the refrigerator. The USB ports built into the furniture also did not work for charging at all. Additionally only 2 of the 3 elevators worked the entire time we were there. Beyond that, I greatly enjoyed our stay here. Every staff member I met was warm and kind, our room and all the facilities were clean and beautiful with so much greenery around.

This trip definitely meant everything for us it didn't disappoint at all so I would give it a 10 out of 10 so if you ever have the opportunity to come to this location it is a must..

The resort is nice and has good access to beach. The room was big but our pulleys didn’t work well and we got locked out of our room twice because the battery on the door went out. The service at the restaurant closest to the beach was not good. There was a make waiter with no hair, that was extremely rude. We complained but nothing was done about it.

Absolutely Wonderful Stay! I had an amazing experience at the Royal Sonesta San Juan! The location is truly unbeatable — right by the beach, with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re in paradise. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. You can tell they really care about cleanliness and detail. The staff were beyond friendly — every single person I met seemed to genuinely enjoy their work, which made the entire stay even more enjoyable. The outdoor pool area was perfect for relaxing under the sun, and everything around the property felt well-maintained and welcoming. I left feeling refreshed, happy, and already planning my next visit. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting San Juan! 🌺☀️

Fantastic property

This property was beautiful. Loved the beach and pool areas. Our room could have been a little more clean & our sink was stopped up, but we did not complain. The staff was very nice and informative on places to try while down there.
