Breakfast is NOT like in the pictures! The only hotel in Mumbai I have to carry my suitcases through the reception. For three days nobody cleaned my room as I found under the door “because you put sign do not disturb…” but I never used it! There is a manager from time to time, but for 3 days I was not able to find him. The first room I checked in the AC wasn’t working but the staff just delayed me with one hour to wait. There is a better hotel with better breakfast on the same street

Great Hospitality

In the heart of colaba, close to Gateway. So if this is the part of Bombay you want to see, then Gordon House is a great place to stay

Felt it was a bit underwhelming. Read huge praises about breakfast. Just not sure whether it was for the same hotel. Just remember: when in Mumbai book a hotel near to where you need to be. Traffic kills.

We had a lovely stay at the Gordon Hotel. It was 2 blocks to the Gateway to India, and easy to walk anywhere. Never felt unsafe. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pillows were comfortable. We especially liked the restaurant on the main floor. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious and a very good price. We had breakfast every morning and enjoyed the fresh fruit and fresh juices. We loved that it included Indian options and enjoyed the buffet as well as the menu. We also had both lunch and room service. Both delicious. Overall I’d love to stay there again.

Great stay!

Accommodations met our needs. As with many places in India, you are only a step away from filthy streets, noise and chaos.

Awesome very reasonably priced hotel right next to Gateway of India. Very helpful friendly staff.

AVOID! (On Thursdays to Sundays) ground floor is a nice Asian fusion restaurant, good service and food, third and fourth floors clean and nicely designed rooms, however the second floor is a non sound proofed fully operational nightclub (!) our room was directly above it and the noise was so bad, the mirrors were shaking and vibrating, we could hear everything, it was like being in the club. went to complain about midnight and met other residents who were at reception aswell. were placed on the fourth floor the next night, could still hear the music from the top but not as bad. The worse thing was as we were leaving, more guests were being booked into the rooms over the club. Probably one of the bizarre experiences of staying in a hotel. All staff (who were great) agreed it was a problem, but nothing could be done about it. Ironically its situated on a nice quiet street. If situated in UK the hotel would be shut down with a noise abatement order immediately.

Small, reasonably priced hotel near the main sights in Mumbai. Good breakfast, good clean room. Arranged an airport pickup. I recommend it.

Very well maintained property. Clean and smelling good inside. Professional and courteous staff. Amazing location a block away from Gateway of India yet located on a quiet street so the noise and chaos outside does not enter the hotel. The hotel restaurant was on for breakfast, good enough to start the day. Did not have any other meals there. Room and bed were spacious for two people. Bathroom was good size with a well functioning shower. I would recommend this place and also stay again in future.

Great hotel but not suitable for my standard

We only stayed one night in this property. The location is excellent - very close to The Gate of India meaning that you can walk to a number of different places eg colaba causeway. The property itself is quite hidden away and doesn't look that impressive from the outside, however inside it is very well set up. It is quite small so not on the scale of much larger hotels. The staff were extremely helpful and the breakfast in the morning was very good. Despite the central location it was not noisy at night.

Perfectly situated hotel. Immaculate. Charming staff. However, we found it a trifle souless and without character.

This place is great because of the location. But the service is average. Would recommend staying here if you want the location, but there's much better hotels if you're looking for an upgraded experience

A very classy and stylish little boutique hotel right in the heart of Colaba. Was completely impressed.

Price is low as is the quality. But all is clean. I booked and paid 4 nights but left after a day, because the general quality was lower than I anticipated on.
