The outside is being renovated, couldn't even find the building at first. Staff, friendly and helpful.

The illustration given in the website was totally misleading. Rather than a quaint hotel by a river we found we were in a very ordinary hotel by the station. However the trek up to the medieval town made up for any disappointment.

The Originals City, Hotel Regina offers a reasonably priced, clean and enjoyable stay. The breakfasts are generous, the bathroom was newly fitted with a large bath, the staff are friendly. The only problem is poor wifi reception.

Positive-This property was located close to the train station and a reasonably close walk to most of the popular attractions in town. While I have a limited French language ability, we were able to communicate just fine. Parking was onsite and very secure. Negative-It stated on my reservation that check-in began at noon. Upon arrival I was told it wasn't until 2:30 due to COVID-19 restrictions. They should either change the check-in time on their information site or clean rooms at a time so they are ready for the stated check-in time. I stayed in room 204 and there was no available wifi. I was told it was my phone that was causing the problem. This was incorrect as when I went to the breakfast area, the internet was excellent. They did try to remedy the problem by doing something to the router near my room but it did not allow for wifi in my room. This is an enormous problem that they must fix if they are to advertise wifi as one of the offerings for their establishment.

This is a perfectly adequate hotel for an overnight pitstop. Our double room was small but clean and the bed was comfortable. We were made very welcome with our dog We didn't eat in - only because we wanted to explore Perigueux and its many restaurants. Reception staff were very helpful, polite and welcoming.

Correct and clean, no frills.

The hotel is in an old and interesting building, but has been wonderfully renovated in an American style. The location, across the street from the railroad station is not prestigious, but it is very convenient. There is free parking in the area. The owner and staff speak English and are very helpful and friendly. The only drawback was that the room was small, but adequate. There was limited water pressure in the shower. It was a very pleasant stay and I recommend it.

Good location. Near train station if you are not driving.

Having work people in your room while you were staying there was disconcerting but being told nothing could be done about non-flushing toilet, after having previously complained of no water in taps was just too much. Toilet was eventually fixed and water to taps restored, but no words of apology for the inconvenience.

The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was excellent, the bathroom was not clean and very mouldy. The room was very small - no room for luggage.

Friendly staff. Scruffy end of town but just across the road from rail station, 15 minute walk into the cente of town.

We had a very positive experience. The two rooms were a good size, the beds and pillows first class. The owner is very involved with the guests which adds a nice touch. The hotel has its own private parking which we found useful especially as the location is mid town and street parking can be difficult to find.

Our stay here was pleasant surprise based on the previous reviews. A perfect location for an early morning train journey. The bathroom in the room was small but seemed newly renovated. The decor of the room could use updating but it was all clean and an easy one night stay.

This was a very comfortable provincial French hotel, very convenient for the station and within comfortable walking distance of the centre of Perigueux. We loved staying there for two nights. The room was not big, but with the value for money offered by the hotel, this was not a problem. We had breakfast on one of the mornings and that was very enjoyable too.

Very limited private parking with very difficult access to the parking area. Bedroom small and a bit cramped. OK for a single overnight stop if you are pushed. Unfortunately very very hot when we stayed, which showed up the lack of ventilation, as there is also no air-con. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Good buffet breakfast available at extra cost.

Albert at the front desk is wonderful. Breakfast was beautiful and delicious. Room was a little small but high ceilings and a great big window. Location was super easy.

Hotel tres ptoche de la.gare Personnel accueillant. Propre. Déjeuner tard 7h45 Bruit musique tard le soir si on dort fenetre ouverte. Il faisait chaud dans la chambre. Pas su faire fonctionner l’airco

Calme alors que face à la gare. Pas d'options de restauration autour, centre ville à 15 minutes à pieds.
