The building is luxurious and clean, and the reception staff are friendly.

Loved everything

One of tbe worst experience i have been through, arrived late at night at 1:15am , there were no one at the reception, kept waiting for like 10 min and no one showed up , went to the bell boy to ask him where is the receptionist , he replied he would look for him and revert back , 10 min after he came and told me he couldn t reach him and he s still trying to reach out for him !! I m became.irritated as this is irrelevant and i had long flights , supposed to sleep 5 hrs only because i had a scheduled meeting at 7am ! When the bell boy realized i m irritated he told me ( Monsieur j'essaye de vous aider mais il n'ya pas quelque chose que je peux faire ) with a bit of a tone and angry face. At this point i told him this is not acceptable to let clients keep waiting more than 20 min with no one at the desk ! I need a manager to talk to. His tone changed , became very rude and told me o apologized earlier , if you don t want to understand and accept it then its up to you !!! And things escalated between me and him. 5 min after tbe receptionist showed up with red eyes . Apparently he was napping somewhere, apologizing but had a drowsy unstable appearance maybe because he woke up in a hurry and in distress so he was panicking and didn t know how to scan my passport which made me.stand on the counter for 5 more minutes !! I was boiling, i m a surgeon , have to meet with a patient regarding a surgical.procedure , came a long way , very drained and have only 5 hrs that are being eroded

Excellent hôtel. Merci au personnel de la réception et le personnel des chambres. Mention spéciale pour Fatima et Yassine qui nous traitaient aux petits soins lors du petit déjeuner et au dîner. Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable et reposant. Petit conseil aux patrons qui sont présents au petit déjeuner et au dîner un sourire aux gens serait souhaitable.

Hotel staff were very attentive and helpful. The standard of hygiene was very high. There were excellent meal options and everything was cooked and presented beautifully.

Room was clean hotel is lovely however the rooms could use an update which must be underway as one wing of the hotel appeared to be under contruction.

I am a frequent traveller to 5* hotels and must say that this is the first time i gave a low rating. Important to know: there is a club/bar attached to the hotel premises. Unfortunately there seem to be Prostitutes booking or occupying the rooms on the weekends which meant I was woken by music through their own speakers at 5am both weekends and sex noises. I have flagged this with the reception the first night and they didnt seem to be bothered too much and after the second weekend where I communicated my unhappiness they only said they are sorry. At check out when i communicated my frustration they again responded saying there is nothing they can do about this and they hope i come back a second time sooon??? I have never experienced anything like this before and do not expect 5* resorts to tolerate this. Property feels not secure even though they got security at night and during day. Rooms are slightly outdated. Dinner buffet has dry meat every night and not much choice for european visitors. They have pop up stands for dinner that safe that experience a little bit and give you at least one decent dish. There are also very limited restaurant choices around the hotel as an alternative option. Drinks are massively overpriced at dinner and pool area and seem to be UK prices. At the pool non of the staff actually bother to offer you any drinks to order or similar. The breakfast is good in comparison to the rest of the food. Staff are friendly

This was my second and last stay at Sofitel, unfortunately it wasn’t like the last time I stayed here. Firstly like last time and all the other hotels around the stretch there’s no private beach anymore. Breakfast was included in the stay and was until 10:30 in weekdays and 11:00 on the weekends. However after 9:30 most of the items were finished and staff blatantly refused to get any for you by saying sorry croissants are finished orange juice is finished. If you are unable to replenish breakfast items after 9:30 perhaps you should keep the timing till 9:30. Poolside food is way too expensive topping it with rude staff. Won’t be returning and would not recommend

Staff Khatija n the rest of the staff were amazing

First time in Agadir and first time in Morocco. Had an absolutely wonderful time at the Sofitel. All the staff were very polite and helpful. The pool area is beautiful, and the hotel has its own beach area looking out onto the promenade with a sea view. The nearest shops and other restaurants are a bit or a walk but you don’t really need to leave the hotel. Souk El Had was a 50MAD taxi ride away. There was lots of options at the breakfast buffet- I’m missing the fresh bread! Would definitely stay again for a relaxing holiday.

Terrible Experience – Definitely Not 5-Star Quality We arrived at the hotel expecting a smooth check-in at 3:00 PM, as clearly stated in the booking confirmation. However, the room wasn’t ready until 5:30 PM – over 2.5 hours of waiting with no proper explanation or apology. The staff were rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful, showing no urgency or concern for guest comfort. The hotel does not reflect 5-star standards in any way – in fact, it doesn’t even meet the expectations of a 3-star. The rooms were outdated, worn down, and frankly, dirty. Carpets stained, bathroom not properly cleaned, and a general lack of maintenance throughout. The pool area was just as disappointing – most of the sunbeds were broken or heavily worn, and there was an overall feeling of neglect. This place has clearly not been updated or properly managed in years. For the price and brand name, this was a huge letdown. Would not recommend and will not be returning. There are far better hotels in the same area that actually value their guests and maintain basic standards of hospitality.

Good staff service and excellent facilities

This property was excellent and we loved our time here. The breakfast was brilliant and had a good range and staff were very helpful! The hotel smelt amazing and was very clean and the pool and spaces to relax are awesome. Only downside is the bathrooms do not have a douche and the showers were problematic where it would be hot water then suddenly change to cold and then back to boiling hot. Also this hotel is slightly away from the main strip with restaurants (walking distance approx 1 hr) however, you can easily take a cab there for approx £4 pounds. Overall we loved our stay here and it was excellent!
