Death by a thousand cuts... The hotel is genuinely nice: clean and well-maintained. The staff were always friendly, but the service was very slow. Room service is a joke. When you can get through, expect it to take 45+ mins and arrive cold. "You are not our only order" I was told when I phoned to follow up. The pizzeria is great, though. When we arrived, our family room was not ready, and we were "upgraded" to a room with a sea view, but that meant my kids had to share a bed. The phone in that room did not work, and it took three days of repeated trips to reception to get a resolution: move to ANOTHER room. The rooms were cleaned every day as you'd expect, but sometimes only in the early evening! The coffee/fridge was not always restocked. The coffee pot was not always cleaned. One morning I found the dried up coffee from the previous morning. Yuck! On our first day, we had lunch at the Albatros restaurant, which was sub-par. drinks took ages and my wife's "paella" was just a pile of rice with one mussel and one sad shrimp. WIFI is fine close to the lobby, but spotty everywhere else. In the room, I found it was fine ONLY if I sat on the edge of the bed nearest the door. Everywhere else: nada. You'll be hounded daily by a guy offering free massages in exchange for a sales presentation. On the last day, the barmen at the pool bar were more interested in chatting up some Spanish-speaking ladies than serving me. So it's a nice hotel, but it could be so much better.

Room spotless and spacious and minibar restocked daily with water, beer and fizzy. Tv mostly Spanish but did have one English movie channel, it is a smart tv so Netflix etc accessible but Wi-Fi not great but it does work although keeps dropping out. I was initially in a standard room but all standard are road side and noisy so I upgraded for a small fee to an ocean view room which was perfect. All inclusive buffet was ok, never hot though only ever warm. All staff were always super friendly and accommodating, nothing was ever too much trouble. The whole hotel and grounds were very clean and staff always busy cleaning including the beach areas. Overall I would recommend this hotel

The hotel was great. The reviews were not good when we booked so we did not know what to except but once we arrived we were very surprised as to why the hotel had bad reviews. The place was very friendly to all guests. I will definitely be coming back.

This place was great! There was about 20 family members staying here for our vacation & we all loved it! Very accommodating to all of us. The staff was so friendly. The place was constantly being cleaned. The buffet had various options & the other 2 restaurants were very good! WiFi works best in lobby & the restaurants. We will definitely be going back!

Room and property was clean, staff were very friendly and accommodating. The WiFi is not good in the rooms but good in public areas on the property. They keep the restaurants on the cold side so bring a sweater. Besides that it was a relaxing stay. We will be back!

My family and I recently stayed at the Flamingo all inclusive hotel in Cancun. We were a family of 8 adults and we rented four rooms. One of the rooms needed to be changed because the air conditioning was not working. We also had issues in my deluxe ocean front room (clogged sink, clogged shower drain, curtain to the balcony did not close all the way and after maintenance came to repair it, it did not open at all and some of the room doors did not close all the way and this is a security issue which really needs to be addressed.) The hotels wifi was not very good at all. In the hotels defense, they did change two of the rooms and upgraded them, but even with the upgraded rooms there was still a lot of deferred maintenance needed and that cannot be a coincidence. When you pay for ocean views and ocean front rooms, you expect the quality of the rooms to be at a certain standard which was not the case. I would've preferred to pay more money and get a better hotel with a quality stay. The location of the hotel and the beach was great. There were a few employees like Lizardo the concierge who helped us with our issues, Edgar at the front desk and Yocowchi the food server was great and very attentive. These few employees helped to make a big difference. Sorry to say, but I would not stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone. I would really like to see the hotel be operated better and be taken better care of. Best wishes, JC
