The front desk clerk was awesome. He was kind, professional and totally helpful as my wife and I checked in for this weekend. The door to Our assigned room door was opened. We entered the assigned room which appeared to be clean, but when we went to get into bed, the linen was filthy! I immediately called the front desk clerk, and he assigned us to another room immediately which was clean. However, The patrons above our first floor reassigned room were totally disruptive, they made noises by walking all evening creating this cracking noises in the ceiling of our first floor room, and early Sunday morning which was terribly annoying! Also, The security access entry door was broken to the rooms in the 2000 room building. This needs to be repaired for security purposes. Also a written notice should be given to all hotel patrons regarding noise to ensure that they are respectful of others in the hotel.

Parking was tight.

Cannot say enough good things about the entire staff! So nice and very accommodating — and, always available. Hot breakfast in mornings, free glass of wine in evenings only make EVERYONE happier! (Even fellow guests were nice!) Also loved the private patio — it made all the difference in our stay!! Would return in a heartbeat!

Pictures are deceiving, it is an old hotel that needs updating, it does have an odor as other reviewers have indicated.

Staff was okay, there was some nasty crud in the bathtub. Sucks cause I really wanted a bath.

Staff were very friendly. Facilities were nice & clean. I had a great time talking to and watching NFL football with Robert Sunday night. My only disappointment was that I placed a 3am wake up call for this morning but never received it. Luckily my alarm woke me. Would definitely stay at your facility again.

The property is a little outdated, and we had intermittent problems with unlocking doors with our cards. The staff was very welcoming and responsive. Also, the free breakfast was surprisingly good.

The blankets were stained and the comforter had holes. I don’t see how they continue using them for other stays.

The staff was great! One of the cleanest hotels I have stayed at in the area. Good location if you are visiting multiple locations in Monterey. The internet service was slow and the tv/cable service had some issues. The pillows were were lumpy and uncomfortable. All that being said, great experience and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who'd ask.

Good location within walking distance to the main high street and Fisherman’s Wharf. Plenty of parking is included in the hotel fee, which is very convenient.
