There was no AC in the room so it was hot, we needed to open the window and as it was on a mane road it was noisy. The hotel and facilities were brilliant. Just need to figure out a way to cool the rooms in the summer.

Unfortunately, the lack of air conditioning made the room extremely uncomfortable in the hot weather. Keeping the windows closed made the room unbearably warm, but opening them meant dealing with loud noise from the bar until the early hours of the morning. As a result, I got virtually no sleep and honestly wished I had driven home instead.

Good hotel, only issue is virtual check in. It’s better with front of house staff to advise re breakfast etc but we almost missed breakfast as we “checked ourselves in” via computer

hotel is ok. self check in doesn't work mostly which you would think they can fix this. rooms have no Aircon so if its warm i wouldn't stay there. they give fans in the room. its not a horrible hotel but its really on par with a holiday inn or similar. its not really a great hotel but ok if the prices are cheap then its not a bad place to stay. overall they try to minimize any help or extras to keep costs low which i guess is how it goes.

The staff at this Walsall hotel are very attentive and visiting staying at this place makes it less stressful. The staff are warm and helpful both at reception , resturant and the gym. Love the restaurant staff so down to earth and always polite.

No air con in any of the rooms - book Holiday Inn next door which has proper facilities!

The openplan reception/games room/sports bar/restraunt was very noisy, bar was expensive. Rooms were clean functional with tea/coffee....but no air-con!!! Which is ridiculous for a reasonably new hotel. Breakfast was the usual buffet affair. Carpark, free at weekends only....

Stayed here many times but probably the last. Firstly when showering the water would not drain away and almost flooded the bathroom. Secondly they have introduced a £5 parking charge. Thirdly and most poignant £17.50 for breakfast!!! Would have been £35 for my wife and I for a buffet breakfast!! We found a local cafe instead for half the price and freshly cooked. Very disappointed

Captured audience so the food was outrageously priced £30.00 plus for a bang basic mixed grill. Parking in a huge car park was £10.00 with plenty of spare places. Even blue badge holders were charged the same but all the disabled bays were taken up by gym users etc and only one badge displayed in 20 plus bays. The signs indicating payment were not noticeable and we saw a few residents falling foul of this. Worst of all. No check in desk. All electronic. Not intuitive at all. So much so that there were staff permanently stood by the consoles helping folks check in and out. Just have a bl@@dy reception desk! There’s knob all other than a KFC nearby (although Champy’s a short drive away is sublime and highly recommended). All in all a comfy bed and that’s about it. This place is more about greed in my opinion. Do yourself a favour and swerve this one. There’s plenty better and cheaper. One more thing, it’s a refurbished property and if you know anything about building, there’s plenty of sticking plasters. You can’t make a silk purse out of a sows ear! Greed in my opinion.

No Hot Water - none. Couldn't even have a shower, absolutely clueless.

Book a night at village hotel walsall staff member booked us in took so long thought we was sleeping at reception got to room and no milk or coffee then put tv on and could not get any signal and couldn't even watch anything when I mentioned this Sunday 31st may 2026 was told they would get maintenance on it Monday so it's repaired Mr s baddeley

There was a previous customer’s used razor blade left in the bathroom. Lights were very dim & bed too high.
