The interior decorating was nice. I did not like that my card was 'declined' by the front desk —when I called my bank, they said they didn't decline any transaction from the hotel. Not sure what payment system you are using, but this was very inconvenient.

Cool hotel in an interesting NYC neighborhood. Walking distance to Little Italy, China Town, SOHO… Terrible pillows and inconsistent replenishing of towels etc. Friendly service staff.

I appreciated the friendly staff accommodating my early check-in when I really needed it. The hotel has been nicely renovated. The only thing missing was an à la carte breakfast option or at least good coffee. They only offered a buffet with pastries and cold cuts. It would be great if they could serve quality coffee and simple breakfast options like eggs for vegetarians. There aren’t many places open early for breakfast in the LES—just coffee spots with croissants or muffins.

I’ve stayed here before and really liked the room, however this time the AC was not working properly. The hotel sent an “engineer” who basically just looked at it and said there was nothing wrong with it when clearly it wasn’t cooling. Half an hour later we had to call back and ask them to just bring a fan as it wouldn’t cool past 75. Also all the furniture and bed is very low. For a king size room there was only one nightstand and no outlets close to bed to plug the fan in.

Really nice place, with lots of stuff to do around. Of course being NYC no coffee in the room. But they do have FREE coffee in the morning in the lobby. That is if they don't run out. Will stay here again. Bathroom exterior windows are full size.

The elevator didn't work due to lobby renovations and it was challenging to get up and down with workers sharing the lift. Otherwise, the stay was great - very easy to find, walkable neighborhood, great dining and drink options nearby. Loved it!

I had a great stay at Hotel on Rivington. The room was neat, and the bed was very comfortable. The cleaning staff were friendly, and the rest of the team was respectful, supportive, and helpful throughout my visit. They made sure the TV captions worked and used texting for communication, which made it Deaf-friendly. The neighborhood is great—close to lively restaurants, bars, and coffee shops, and within walking distance to Little Italy. I really appreciated the service and the location. I would definitely come back again.

We were in a bad room on a floor that wasn’t great. Images online don’t match with the reality… only 1 functioning elevator and the fire stair smelt like garbage - it needs a good clean, especially if this is the only reliable way to get to your room. The room was large, but because we were at the back of the building on a low level, we could smell the grease and exhaust from neighboring restaurants. Staff were great, just the property is far below average. We couldn’t work out if it was in the middle of a renovation, or had just completed a bad renovation.

Not very private, no sheer curtains, you have to close ugly brown curtains so people can’t see in. Over all dated and needs a refresh. We moved to a different room higher up for privacy the front desk informed me they are remodeling lower floors first. I’d come back but only after they remodel. Did not take make photos just the windows sorry!

The staff is extremely hospitable & the room size is generous which makes up for the shabbiness of the property. We stayed 10 days and only one elevator functioning the entire time. Midway through the stay elevator would not stop on our floor. We were relocated to a room that did not have as nice of a view. The bathroom is black tile, but a portion was repaired with white grout. The property does not merit a resort fee, nor being classed as Small Luxury Hotel by Hilton.

The rooms are dated; missing baseboards, lights not working. My major complaint is that the heat didn't work, and it was cold. The hotel staff was great and they waived the additional fee, because the heat not working. I won't stay here again even at the low cost for the area.
