Much newer than the last residence inn we stayed at in buffalo the 2 previous nights, cleaner, newer. I was a bit discouraged when they mentioned a $75 pet fee however, at time of check in, as NOT mentioned on the website, and the only hotel in 8 nights away on vacation that charged me for my 11 pound service dog, so that was the only, large negative

Flat pillows, uncomfortable. Sofa bed very thin and uncomfortable. We did not sleep well. One of the pillows did not have pillow case. Not enough linens for the 4 of us. Noisy machine (AC?) outside woke us up in the middle of the night. Will not stay here again.

My business trip on Monday (6/10_25) ended late. I booked through hotels.com as I have several hundred times or more in the past decade. I arrived at the residence Inn Marriott, located in Columbia, SC after working a 16hr day at approximately 11:00 p.m. I expected a quick, smooth check-in as I was totally exhausted. That didn't happen. For the first time ever, I was informed the hotel received my booking ( paid by me through the hotels.com app) but they didn't have my credit card info. This was confusing to me as I use this service often and are a gold member. I waited approximately an hour and received very little technical support form Hotels.com/Expedia.com. support came only through a virual chat. I could not get anyone in customer service to contact me. After a very long wait someone called the hotel and there was no resolution. I got a refund but was told they would not compensate my lost time. I eventually paid the hotel directly after an hour wait. I asked hotels.com/Expedia.com to be contacted by a manager but that didn't happen. I use this booking service so much and no compensation was offered. Im very surprised and disappointed. If the problem is on the Marriott (residential Inn)

As far as the hotel cleanliness it was great. We didn't have an iron board. We didn't have no soap in the shower and the room card key didn't work the second day of being in the hotel other than that, this day was pretty good.

Was surprised by our room having a kitchen that had silverware, a sink, and had a full sized fridge and freezer. Staff was friendly, everything was neat and clean, and if I'm ever travelling through the area again I'm absolutely staying here again. 9.5/10!
