Older hotel, very few plugs in the hotel. Breakfast was mediocre.

It was my first time visiting the Soo and we arrived late at night. The staff at the counter were very friendly and helpful. However, when we get to the room there was a foul smell at the bathroom, the counter was so sticky and it looked like someone just smeared it with something so smelly it made me feel like throwing up. Everywhere else in the room was so dusty too. We were so tired to complain and just went to sleep as we had an early morning train tour the next day. Upon returning in the evening, another surprise, our beds were not made and just provided us with a stack of new towels which was nice. But, isn’t it standard to make the beds of the guests? Then when we checked out the person at the counter did not even asked how my stay was… so here I am with this review.

While it is an older hotel, the hotel was clean - room was a great size, breakfast provided was good and the staff were so helpful and kind - even booked taxis and shuttles for me travelling to meeting destinations.

Restaurant was not open on Monday. Would have been good to know this before making a choice of where to stay.

Disappointing Experience I was very disappointed with my stay. The hotel was extremely overpriced considering its condition. The room was dirty, very old, and showed clear signs of water damage in the walls The flooring was also damaged, which added to the overall neglected feel of the place. It’s obvious that the hotel is not well-maintained, and the lack of care is reflected throughout the property. Given the high price, I expected much better. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We had the two bedroom with kitchen unit. It was clean. Only downfalls were that the windows were small, so little light/view from the room. Bathroom only had a small shower, so the space is tight. And it was a bit dated. Otherwise, the living space and rooms were spacious. And the kitchen was very convenient to have.

As expected

It was very accessible to everything Loved the location. The staff were super. It was very clean but quite dated. Lots of stains on the carpet and the sink plug didnt work. Overall, we loved staying there.

Staff was very helpful and efficient. Room was comfortable and quiet.
