A hidden gem of hospitality. The staff is very friendly. On Mondays and Thursdays there was live music in the lobby: you can mingle and dance. The hotel is clean and the staff very responding to any issues. We found the indoor pool too busy, but the sauna was perfect. The spa is basic, but nice. I enjoyed a chocolate euphoria treatment. We spent 1 month at this hotel so we got to know not just the hotel staff but also the locals. We found a karaoke bar close by and enjoyed the locals' company every friday. After 4 weeks, we knew each other by name!! There are many restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. We loved the location as we were able to hike and take the bus to Valletta or any other city. Overall, a great location for us, good food, good people, clean facities and easy access to larger cities. Gladly recommend the place.

Great place to stay. The breakfast is excellent

Positives: loved the outdoor heated pool. The breakfast has a good range. Staff very nice and friendly. Upgraded room nice and had what needed. Negatives: Bad drain smell as enter room. Reported and maintenance tried to help. View: Not great. Very close to opposite apartments/room which look directly into your room. Breakfast: no one clearing plates etc - very slow. Was told that hotel very short staffed. Indoor pool: this was so dirty and cloudy you could not even see the steps to go in so got straight out.

Room very spacious and clean. Hotel had everything I could need, spa was great and even outdoor pool heated to the perfect temperature for having a swim on a January evening. Great choice of local restaurants nearby and also linked to the hotel. Overall would really recommend his hotel and its location

The room was so spacious and clean. I didnt use it but the kitchenette was a very good addition. The whole hotel is well looked after and very comfortable. It must be amazing in summer with the rooftop pools. The spa was lovely and well maintained. The gym looked decent but i didn't use it. The breakfast was plentuful and well organised. Also i had the evening buffet once during my stay and it was lovely. I would love to stay at the Solano again in the future.

there was no hot tub as listed along with one of the pools being out of service

Good hotel and helpful staff. Clean and good location. Only thing missing for us with a child was that there was no play room and any facilities for children.

Staff were lovely but explanation of hotel layout wasn’t given so caused much confusion. Also paying extra for panoramic room was disgusting as all we could see was other hotel rooms. Disappointed.

We booked an accommodation and specifically stated that we wanted 2 interconnecting rooms and a kitchenette. We even contacted the front desk and they confirmed this. Upon arrival we were told that the hotel did not have any interconnecting rooms. The room given to us also did not a kitchenette. We had young kids so we could not leave them alone in seperate rooms.Therefore we had to leave solana hotel. The hotel refused to issue our regund for a 9 days stay considering the circumstances. Their customer desk lied to us and they refused to take responsibility for the error by thr front desk representative.

Wonderful buffet breakfast, live music in lobby when we arrived, wonderful rooftop pool and rooftop bar. Heated outdoor and indoor at ground level, lovely sauna and small gym. Did not try the Spa but heard it was excellent. Lots of excellent restaurants very close by. The walk down to the beach is an excellent workout especially the uphill hike back (or grab a frequent bus or the Bolt rideshare which are abundant and inexpensive). Loved this hotel, our room was great, balcony was big and staff were amazing. Highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel, clean comfortable room, friendly attentive staff

The staff were really welcoming especially at the front desk. The food was excellent and the amenities were spot on. However our morning coffee mugs in our room was not washed and every day on our return to the room we had to wash them ourselves. Also on two occasions we had to asked for toilet paper as the cleaner did not restock with a spare apart from the one that was already being used.
