Great place to stay.

good breakfast , friendly staff, missing AC in room, some shampoo/conditioner in shower

Great hotel, efficient check-in. Food was nice in the restaurant for evening dinner with friendly staff (Elaine). Clean, spacious rooms, no road noise.

Staff was kind and lovely, rooms were nice decor and clean, and breakfast had a good variety of options to choose from.

We were traveling through and it was a great place to stop and then look back over towards Cashel. Enjoyed the hotel had a nice little bar and the food looked great we didn't eat there but I did observe it all being eaten and nice Buffet at a good price with full Irish Breakfast and other choices.

Staff were amazingly warm and friendly. But although the room seems recently updated with nice furniture the room was dusty-thick dust. Coffee machine was dirty and the room had a lingering stale odor. Bathroom was clean and bed was comfortable so I did not make a complaint about the items listed. I just think it’s worth mentioning for future guests to consider.

The toilet in our room didn’t flush properly. Everything and everyone else was very good and very nice

Upon arrival, we were sent to a room without power and a leak in the bathroom. The stafd had shut off the power because of the leak so they knew about it but put us in the room anyways. When we were moved, they provided us with a free drink voucher which was nice but when we tried to use it to order a pint, they only brought us a half pint. When eating at their restaurant, their cesaer salad included carrots which I am allergic to. This was not listed under the allergens or in the menu description. When we brought this up to the staff, they were dismissive, denied any responsibility and told us that we should have informed them ahead of time. We were also charged full price deapite not being able to eat the salad that was ordered. I developed severe food poisoning as a result and was stuck in the room for the rest of our stay. We wish were could have canceled our second night and gone elsewhere.

The Hoban is a favourite stay when in Kilkenny. Rooms are clean and beds are so comfortable. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and the food is great. The Hoban, is fairly central to everywhere. Less than 5 minutes to the city centre and its historic castle and medieval churches, never mind the shopping and dining experiences to be had. Just off the main road for Clonmel and also the M9 motorway. Perfect place to stay while not breaking the bank. Comfort, food and welcoming atmosphere. What more could you ask for 👌

Great Breakfast. Great walk to Kilkenny Castle & St. Canise, Medieval Mile, Langston Garden Hotel and Roth House and so many others.

We were provided an early check-in and that’s 5 stars rate for me. The room is big enough and the bathroom is clean, though extra coffee pods would be perfect. Hotel staff are great and courteous.

We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every moment. Room is spacious, bed is excellent, and the shower is amazing! The staff was welcoming and friendly.

Really friendly staff, good sized clean rooms. Early check in at 10:00 when we arrived early for the food festival.

Location was good. Room was clean. Drinking glasses where spotty and dirty.

Friendly staff. Super clean and comfy bed.
