When I arrived to the hotel, it was extremely hot inside the hotel lobby, retail, and restaurant areas. My check in was pretty fast. When I arrived to the room it did not look like the pictures displayed when I made the reservation. There was a pile of dirty cups and dishes at the foot of the door to enter the room in the hallway. The room looked worn and the carpet smelled old. Not to mention the room was also extremely hot. The ac would not cool after it had been on for several hours. The lighting was very poor in the room as well and you could barely see yourself in the bathroom. I was there for a wedding and needed to do my own hair and makeup so this detail of lighting was important to me. I wouldn't say the place was dirty, just old and not in a cute vintage kind of way. It was so hot in the restaurant I left to eat elsewhere. The hotel seems on the outskirts of everything but not in the beautiful charming streets closer to the cathedral. I left to stay elsewhere several hours after checking in. Didn't even sleep in it one night, I was supposed to stay 4. Because I booked through Expedia, I lost my entire stay that I paid for. For these reasons I do not recommend this hotel for your San Miguel stay. There are way cuter places for for the same price or less. My fiends stayed at the Posada down the street for $500 for their entire stay. I paid $700 for mine.

The rooms were very comfortable. The hotel was at a very close distance from the center of town. We walked there in about 15 minutes.

The staff was friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The place is beautiful. They have parking. Definitely I will be back and recommend it .

A suggestion is to offer face towels and a mini fridge. It’s in a great location!

The property has been around for 40 years and they do a great job of caring for the grounds and the rooms. Some rooms have been updated where old carpet has been replaced with hardwood floors. All rooms have AC which is nice in the warmer months. We stayed in room 126 and unfortunately had a strong septic smell. Living in Mexico this is often the case, but good to be aware. The property is pet friendly for 500pesos a day. We would stay here again.

The room was perfectly located next to the pool, with easy patio access. The AC kept us cold all night, which is well worth it. And the breakfast buffet was the biggest I've ever seen, complete with mimosas and your other favorite beverages.

A very nice option for bedget conscious travelers. The property’s been around for many years, is very popular with Mexican tourists groups and offers a quiet respite from busy San Miguel de Allende. Nicely located with onsite restaurants plus some of the best eateries in San Miguel within a few minutes walk down Sterling Dickinson and the Ancha. 15 minutes walk to the Parroquia.

I stayed here for 2 nights in April 2026. I do not recommend for the following reasons: 1. The hotel is dated/old and does not look kept up 2. No mini fridge in the rooms 3. The gym is small, and no are sprays provided to wipe down machines after use 4. The pool water is very cold 5. Parking is an extra $150 pesos per day 6. Breakfast is extra $300 - you can get a great breakfast around the corner for half the price 7. The staff member for our arrival was not friendly, snobby, and not helpful 8. You can find other nicer and well-maintained accommodations for a better price
