Clean hotel

Expected more for an Ascend Hotel. Main areas were beautiful, staff excellent, but room was dark and dingy, bed was soft and lumpy, stain on bed cover. Bedside lamp had a blown lightbulb. Half roll of toilet tissue, had to ask for more. As I said, just expected a higher level of quality from Ascend Hotel.

Nice clean property. Breakfast was good too.

Great stay. Good location with a nice scenic drive to old Quebec only 15 mins away. St Hubert’s next door was a nice addition. Construction in the front of the hotel but it was eat to access from the front or back. Would recommend.

Pluses: Room was spacious and clean; helpful/courteous staff Minus: Because of the ongoing major construction on the road facing the hotel and road closures in the surrounding areas, it was very difficult to get the hotel. GPS, Google Map and Maps were of limited help because of these closures. We were told that these construction projects will continue/go on for a considerable period (years). Recommendation: Hotel should alert incoming guests about this issue. Also, it would help if the hotel will place directional signs at intersections to help with finding the hotel.

Restaurants within walking distance. Great selection for breakfast.

8/10 free breakfast not far from old quebec but ugly construction on main road leading to hotel front and no vent in bathroom. good overall, this and another hotel around the corner were the cheapest hotels with a 8.5 or higher.

Hotel was clean but bedsheets did have a smell. Room refresh was minimal only towels replaced Breakfast was good and everything else about the hotel was good

Clean and quiet property. Convenient to reach down town and other visiting places. staff was helpful. only thing they don't keep water bottle in the room.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in my whole life. First, of your room is on a third floor - her ready to carry your luggage 5 steps up and then 5 steps down - there is no elevator. The room is spacious, but everytime is very outdated and old. The bathroom had almost no shower gel and shampoo and the dispenser was broken (glad I had mine with me).The drainage on the shower is very poor. If you're coming at night or evening by car, be ready to circle around the hotel to find parking. Breakfast is included, BUT... We arrived now than 30 minutes before the cut off time for breakfast (Sunday at 9:55AM - breakfast is until 10:30AM) - there was absolutely no food left and the staff wasn't very keen on replenishing. Last but not least, one day, we left the room at 10AM and returned at 11PM to find out that the room was not serviced at all - no cleaning, no making the bed, no fresh towels. When I asked for compensation, I was told "we will investigate". Well - keep up with your investigation, but I'll never come back to your hotel. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!
