Lovely hotel with very nice staff. The beach is a short walk away so this keeps you nice and fit! We had lovely food and the chef was excellent. The animation team did a very good job. The hotel is tired and would benefit from a revamp but otherwise we had a lovely time.

We booked the Eloúnda breeze, based on photos on Expedia and the several reviews on here that appeared to be realistic taking into consideration the price. Lobby is lovely and updated, and you can see they have done such upgrades when you consider down the road the Eloúnda mare and the Eloúnda beach hotels which are both 5 star mega hotels that we had a chance to walk round both and we wish we had spent more and stayed there! Food was very edible we were all inclusive and enjoyed the buffets, the al la carte was just awful, this is something you can only book once a trip and would advise not even bothering. We read that there was some old and new rooms, we got the old of course being a double with a balcony, bathroom was too small the door hits the toilet when going in there, the grid in the middle of the floor stinks and it is impossible to not be swimming in a lake as the shower curtain does not function. Best bit of the hotel in our opinion was the private beach which is a 5-10 min walk away, with its own bar and lovely surrounding sea which is great for snorkelling we saw loads of different fish and even an octopus in the wild. The only down side to this however is the childish behaviour of people reserving sun beds with towels and stones who then decide to go to lunch leaving said items, this did not stop us as I burn easily and had my fair share of sun and need shade. Hotel all in all is not terrible but needs to improve in lots of areas.

Not all inclusive had to pay for safe deposit, beach towels changed after 3 days. Double bed was 2 single beds joined together. Had to even pay for water. Drinks that were all inclusive was what was on there list. Had to pay for alcohol drinks after 11pm. This is not all inclusive hotel.

Staff was great and I enjoyed the pool. We did pay for sea view but we got a first floor with view of trees. We were given the option to have a sea view on 2nd floor but the rooms on 1st floor was nicer. Rooms and Sea side need some help, overall nice, but they really do need to organize and get new chairs on their beach. Staff was amazing, and so was the food.

The room was with old decoration,TV with limited channels(CRT 14" TV). Probably are existing two types refurbished and non refurbished rooms. Some problems with Wifi(intermittent access in the the room). Very good cuisine with variety of food in breakfast, lunch, dinner.

We booked the hotel through expedia .Unfortunately our reservation was not refundable so we had to stay there. Although it is characterized as having a beach in 200 meter and you suppose it is so the truth is the beach is not so close. When you arrive at the beachh it is small and it is not a beach it is more of a dock from where you can dive. They have constructed a small sea water lake where children can swim other than that it is disappointing in Greece to book a hotel with such a so called beach. When we arrived my wife almost got caught by the elevators door because the movement sensor was not working. Although we informed the staff about 7 days later it was not fixed. The room was small ,the bathtub could fit only one medium sized person standing and the water was deciding by itself when it would be warm or cold. The roof of the room was not made of concrete but it had a second sealing made by aluminum lanes. Later we discovered that above those aluminum lanes the roof was open somewhere because during the day and night the wind would make the aluminum pieces bouncing or creaking or making hell lot of noise. The tv was bought back in the 90s or it looked like so and the air condition had to plastic forks to keep the air swing in place. Other than that thhe view from the small balcony was great but it had no tent so you could seat there only when the sun was down. Again i would like to point out that this hotel is supposed to be a 5 star hotel. The food was ok.

Shortage of staff - buffet v disappointing - pool cold and no hand rails with dangerous exposed areas surrounding - food around the pool dreadful ,cold and lack of choice - room adequate but v limited accessories - décor dull, dark and tired- furnishing need updating - generally not a place to return to and not a good example for this group of hotels. No free wifi, pool bar closes at 4.0pm and pool at 5.0pm,totally unacceptable - the whole experience will not be repeated for us

Very helpful staff and happy to sort trips and taxis, dining room good range of local and international food but this did not vary much from day to day. We choose not to go all inclusive but it was easy to order a meal in the evening if needed and this was good value for money. Within walking distance of the village with some great restaurants and good fish dishes served.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Elounda Aqua Sol. Our upstairs bungalow (!) room had a great sea view. The rooms are surrounded by gardens: very peaceful and pretty. The hotel has two beautiful swimming pools with plenty of umbrellas and sunbeds. There is also a small man-made beach a short distance away with an enclosed pool as well as access to deeper water for snorkelling, which we greatly enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was generally good, with great salads, breakfasts and desserts, but the hot main courses weren't very exciting. The dining room was a bit cramped, but the outside dining area had a fantastic view. Good value and a great holiday!

Booked to stay here for a few days (with friends who live on Crete) some time in advance at "no cancellation" rates, so got a good deal. What you would expect from this type of accommodation - clean and modern but not luxurious. Most rooms in 2 storey blocks and we ended up with a ground floor room with no views despite "mountain views" being shown on the booking, but hey. Only real drawback was its location - about a 20-30 mins walk out of Elounda centre along a narrow road for some of the way, some of which is dark on the way back late evening, but there are regular taxis going along to and from the 5 star hotel opposite. Elounda is a good base for the Eastern end of Crete, and has a good choice of tavernas etc..Booked B&B and breakfast was OK too, pretty standard fayre of hot and cold choices. Whole place was not very busy despite being early July, but perhaps symptomatic of current economic problems with fewer travellers.

We stayed in Room 244 which has exceptional views over the bay. We used the hotel as a base for touring the eastern end of Crete and the hotel served us well. The hotel seems to concentrate on visiting parties of French & Germans who stay for three nights and are bussed out during the day. This means that the restaurant can be quite crowded in the morning and evening, while the pools are quiet during the day. There were few British, so there was not much social life in the evenings. The food is buffet-style, good quality, and replenished frequently. The animation team manage to get activities going in the daytime, but they do not have the talent to entertain in the evenings. Elounda is a delightful little town, and there are spectacular views across the bay and from the roads in the mountains around.

Charming holiday activities, a bit disappointing on beach access and size of room - we would have appreciated a bathtub besides shower. A pleasant view.
