The room and all spaces I passed by were very clean. I liked the idea of not wasting water and not changing towels so often. The spa was amazing. It was a very relaxing stay. The hotel has a luxurious feel, like more than 3 stars. I definitely recommend people to go above all for the spa. It is totally worth it. And have breakfast at the hotel. So many tasty choices.

Great and very quiet place with a lot of history. Had a small room with nice amenities. Some of the furniture is a bit worn out, but everything is clean. Also the hotel is quite cheap. Wifi was extremely slow though.

Pleasant town in walking distance. Beautiful old hotel with nice and inexpensive spa offerings.

Fantastic stay. Very impressive hotel with high ceilings and chandeliers. Really fun hot spring pools. Excellent Dinner at a VERY reasonable price. Jazz on the terrace.

Pool great, lovely relaxed vibe, me and my two young sins 13 and 15 just used it as a base, and location with hire car perfect for exploring the costs brava, would come back if the world wasn't so big! Loved it!!

I was in this hotel for my birthday. The staff is friendly and the massage was fantastic. Very clean and quiet. For my birthday they given a bottle of Vichy!

Nice, convenient and very pleasant staff

It would be difficult to find fault with this hotel especially at its price range. The staff could not have been more helpful and the cleanliness, spaciousness and location of this place made it a really star find. For travel in any direction its location to the railway station makes it easily walkable with a good selection of trains with cheap fares (we even went over to France). The breakfast was excellent as was the waitress who seved us most mornings. A pleasure to recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay at the Balneari Vichy Catalan. We rented a car from the Gerona airport and stayed at this hotel while we made side trips up the coast. A lovely building that looks like a castle, with high ceilings and beautiful grounds. The rooms were comfortable, the pool was lovely, the breakfast was good, the parking free.

The hotel looks very impressive. It is getting a bit tired in places. We felt like we were in a geriatric residence - full of old people. The location was however convenient for a visit to Girona by train. There are a few interesting sites in the town such as the Arab baths

expensive taxi ride from airport 25 euros. reception staff have poor attitude and seem to to be on the phone at all times.did not want to supply any info in English. But the catering staff were great helping in everyway. very clean and well set out

The Vichy Catalan appeared to be a grand hotel somewhat past its glory days. That is not to say that we did not enjoy our time there and the spa experience. It was is simply an older hotel that had not been redesigned in some time. The spa had many old-fashioned features in it; if you are expecting a sleek, modern spa with updated amenities you will be dissapointed. If you expect a good basic spa with older features but good options for massages/treatments you will be happy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did not eat at the restaurant other then the breakfasts, which were fine. I would recommend the stay.

Hotel is a spa. Rooms were clean but without ventilation they were hot and stuffy. The restaurant was very good and the manager was very helpful and attentive. Food was excellant and prices very fair.

Caring staff will assist with any need or emergency. The restaurant is exquisite with five-star service and quality. Very tranquil and a hidden gem.

We didn't really know what to expect but when we saw the outside of the hotel and the grounds we were immediately impressed. There really is the feel of a 19th century spa hotel but with 21st century conveniences. It was a delight to stay at the Balneari Vichy Catalan. We extended our stay from 2 to 3 days.

Ziet er mooi uit aan de buitenkant. Binnen vergane glorie. Het was schoon, personeel was netjes. Maar voelde aan als de glorietijd van de 60er jaren. Douche duurde 5 minuten om op te warmen...
