Two sisters run this hotel and they are wonderfully kind and involved in making any stay here exceptional. The service is second to none. The breakfast is spectacular, with locally sourced farm to table products. They have a huge assortment of great tea and desserts available to guests. We didn’t hit the spa, as we stayed here during our time hiking in the Dolomites. It was a bit further out from some of the hotels nearer the hikes but it is absolutely worth it to be in such a beautiful place with such incredible hospitality.

This is an absolutely exceptional hotel - starting with a very personal check-in by one of the owners to a fantastic room (we had a junior suite with in-room bathtub and mountain view) to the culinary highlights of the Gault Millau recommended cuisine. All of this in a cozy ambiance that combines Tyrolean hospitality with modern amenities. Having traveled in many countries over the years with numerous hotels - Strasserwirt really stands out. Congratulations to the team!

A lovely country hotel with excellent service and comfort. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The hotel is decorated with art and artifacts from its long history, has a library and garden areas to walk or relax in. Dinner was a pleasant surprise as it’s a gourmet coursed meal (might not be a good fit for picky eaters). Breakfast was lovely with great variety. I was meant to stay one night but because of the comfort and food, I decided to stay another night to relax and enjoy the amenities. My one knock would be that you can hear road noise, but the benefits outweigh that. I will gladly visit again.

Found this place through Expedia and was so happy I did! It was perfect. Location was great close to the area of the Dolomites that I wanted to explore. The actual hotel was lovely. The staff was amazing, food was great, the room was very modern and clean. The saunas/spa was also quite enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place and was very happy with it!

This must be the best place to stay in the area! Beautiful house, very nice,big room ,good bed and super bathroom! The restaurant was also very good,both for breakfast and dinner. The hotel has also A Beautiful garden and the area is stunning😊👍

I travel a LOT and this hotel just blew me away. It is so clean and the atmosphere is great, every little corner in the hotel and the rooms is thought out with something there and the building has a nice history and the place is just amazingly clean to the level you almost never see. It's very rare to come across a place like this, room was so nice and had way more comforts than expected. The check in lady was amazing and so pleasant. I stay in a ton of hotels each year and this would top the list. Be sure to stay here even if you are looking at Lienz as it's not that far away.

Hotel is lovely and charming. Rooms and common areas are beautiful. Staff is thoughtful and accommodating. Just a wonderful stay. Wifi is very slow so if you need to work (like I did) it could be a real challenge. I stayed in 2 different rooms. # 304 was just perfect. Great view, layout, bath and balcony. I would stay here again!!

The girl at reception was very friendly and helpful. She took us to our room and was clearly proud of the hotel and what it offered. The hotel construction, furnishings and décor reminded us of stays we have had in castles and manors. Warm and inviting rooms, and the amenities were like those provided by much more expensive hotels. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property to others.
