An all round excellent stay found this hotel by chance it’s a little gem nice rooms nice public areas great food and the staff were first class .

Staff here are so friendly and brilliant. Room 3 was kind of average hotel room in the UK size but beds were on the small side. We had booked a twin room but both beds were small. I am 6ft 4 and the beds have ends made of wood so i had to sleep diagonally with my legs dangling over the side. Wasn't great. Shower was awkward, we couldn't get the temperature dial to work so just came out baking hot. Given the fact it was ground floor the window could be fully opened (maybe a fire escape thing) but this meant you couldn't leave it ajar whilst out to air the room. Tea/coffee facilities were there and worked well Hairdryer was available. Facilities were clean. For a Saturday night the pub seemed really quiet and no food available after 9pm Overall this place did the job, very expensive for what you get but the British Open golf was on so that was to be expected. The real positive here was the staff Plenty of parking

I am a one leg amputatee so no walk in shower was a problem.

Very clean, friendly nice food

We stayed here for two nights, and were very happy with our stay. The hotel offers good value on nice food and drinks, the location was great for local walks/cycling routes and perhaps most notable was that the staff are all very friendly, helpful and professional. We would happily recommend it to friends and/or stay here again.

We stayed in room No.1 which is a big bed in a small room (next to the main road), maybe next time I would choose a different room.

Hotel was nice, and clean, but the radiator didn't work in the room, however there was an electric radiator to use instead. Breakfast - food was very good, I had the full english, but why, why, why, watered down fruit juices to the point that it tasted like cordial? Such a shame when the food quality was so good, including the sausage and bacon. It changed what would have been a good experience.

There was no heating on at all, the wall plugs stop working around about 11:30 or there was nobody on reception the old radiator you can’t plug-in because the plug sockets weren’t working very very noisy and for the first time in my life no stuff on front desk that you can complain to

Only an overnight stay but the staff were very professional. The hotel was clean and the food in the restaurant was excellent.

Adequate accommodation and breakfast, staff friendly. Shower a little dated but a pleasant stay

Shower ove bath is fine but there is no hand rail. My husband has a spinal injury and risk of slipping was too high

The hotel was absolutely fantastic, very dog friendly, excellent restaurant outstanding breakfast. This hotel cannot be recommended highly enough and can't wait for a return visit, excellent value for money
