The room was plain but functional and clean with a good location. The breakfast was adequate for the price of 7.50 euros. However the only negative to the hotel was the experience at check-in with the morning receptionist. As we were staying 3 nights I asked for a room with a bright window. We were assigned room 106 which had already a negative review for being dark. When I asked for a room on an upper floor the receptionist became very angry. In fact he was not pleasant as soon as we came into the hotel. The afternoon receptionist was much more helpful

I found it odd that we had to surrender our key to the front desk every time we left the hotel and ask for it when we came back. This was quite an inconvenience and in the summer you can’t leave the AC on because the key is with the front desk when you’re out of the room. Toiletries were of cheap quality and in small sachets. Certainly not enough for our stay. The only thing good about this hotel is it’s location. Very convenient. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel is great. The staff were excellent and the room is clean and modern. The beds were very comfortable. The only complaint is as we looked out onto a tiny little area and were on the first floor, we looked out onto other buildings and we had no idea of the weather or what was going off in the world. I would still stay though, overall a pleasant stay

The Hotel Sur Malaga was wonderful! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and inviting and it was close to walk everywhere.

Great location, eateries on the doorstep. Staff friendly , hotel clean and tidy. Good Aircon, breakfast varied and tasty. Easy walk to port and shops. Brilliant hotel for a short stay , you may want more if staying longer such as coffee facilities in room , view , bar area. We would definitely return though .

The only problem is what they use under the bottom sheet . It was like plastic bags sound every time you moved was not good and makes you hot and sweaty.they shouod find anotheroption.

This hotel was the best in the immediate area and I stayed in a few. Great service and did everything for me. Room was clean and comfortable. The price was amazing for what you got. Definitely my go to hotel in this immediate area and would gladly return.

Nice, clean inexpensive place to stay in Soho area of Malaga. Easy walk to everywhere in Malaga. 15 walk to the train station.

Perfect position for restaurants , transport , beach, shops. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Downside: no refridgerator in room.
