Very nice hotel and staff

Affordable and near the train station. Room was quiet, sheets wete soft and attached restaurant was fast, reasonably priced and efficient. Front desk spoke excellent English. What more can you hope for?

Staff are great , rooms comfortable and breakfast is a good start . Parking is very restrictive but I parked opposite in Saint Laud , great parking here , 2 minute walk to HDF .. 👍

I love the friendly staff who go beyond the norm to be helpful and accommodate guests! The rooms and building are immaculate and beautiful. It is close to or a short walk to everything you need or wish to see in Angers.

L'hôtel était chaud, humide et étouffant. Le personnel était bien ; poli, informatif, serviable. Les finitions sont fatiguées. La chambre avait la climatisation, mais elle n'était pas allumée avant l'enregistrement, donc la chambre était également trop chaude, humide et étouffante. Une odeur fade, faible et désagréable dans le couloir. C'était bien pour une nuit.

We found the lady at check in to be an absolute delight. Personable, well-spoken and helpful. Our room was larger than expected, spotless,and quiet (top floor). Breakfast was plentiful and delicious and well stocked. A bit more expensive than some hotels in the area but worth the extra!

The hotel was a little run down, but has good and friendly staff.

Friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast and comfortable bed. However, the room needs renovation: wallpaper torn in places, noisy air conditioning.

Hotel de France could use an interior renovattion. The building is absolutely beautifu. The area is absolutely perfect, great food and drinks all around the hotel and Angers is an amazing city

Property was close to all activities in the city. Room was a bit warm at night with no way to regulate the temperature.

The staff was very friendly and professional, good breakfast options (eggs and salmon were perfect), quiet hotel and everything you might need in the room for a trip. Ideally located next to the station and the city centre.

The gentleman on check-in was delightful - we had had trouble with our car and were a bit stressed! The window in our room had been left open (with radiator switched off) because the previous guest had smoked!! He very quickly sorted the gremlins. However, our meal in the Bistrot was disappointing - did not have a bottle of our wine selection, forgot my knife & fork (used on the starter) for my main meal, which was inedible as overcooked and tasteless! (fish & chips - you normally cannot ruin). The waitress said she couldn't take it off the bill (even though I couldn't eat it) but would give me cheese "gratis" - sadly I accepted her offer but felt, on reflection, I should have insisted. This affected our decision not to stay here again as I think the quality, or not, reflects on the hotel and we expected better. I shall continue to use Logis Hotels in the future and not deviate as it is not worth it.

The hotel equipment was a little dated, but honestly the room was nice and clean, the breakfast was good and the service was impeccable.

The place was charming, the courtyard beautiful and location perfect.

Excellent location, right across the street from the train station. Great variety of bars, bistros, cafes, and shops nearby. Plenty of sights to see within walking distance. Rooms are larger than a typical old French hotel. English ability of front desk staff is more than adequate. Rental cars across the street st station.
