I booked this very late in the day after a cancelled flight and the staff was ready for me when I arrived. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful balcony on an upper floor with a great view. Only complaint was that it appears to be a slightly older building and there are very few power outlets in the rooms.

Spacious room but needs to be refreshed, at least painting. We had a nice sea view from the window. The staff was welcoming and nice. The breakfast was average, almost without pastries; breakfast coffee was not good, if not bad. Regarding dinners, bars and pool, we haven't try any of them, so can say nothing. Overall good, but can be better for the price.

Perfectly situated hotel as we enjoy a stroll into the centre,lots of buses if you prefer to ride.Lots of good eating places nearby.Hotel itself friendly and welcoming,clean in all areas and very spacious suite with balcony to sit in the sun.Excellent choices at breakfast buffet and staff filling things up as they get low and clearing tables efficiently.All in all a lucky find for our time in Funchal.

We stayed for 9 nights. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was nice and the food was alright (what you would expect from a buffet). The room was more spacious than expected, we had a living space with a sofa separate from the bedroom. Cleanliness could have been better, the rooms were cleaned daily but the bed sheets weren't changed at all during our stay. (We also noticed stains on the bed sheets even though they were clean when we checked in). They have 2 pool, one only for adults which was nice. Water at the adult pool was very cold so we had to take a trip to the other one for a swim. The other pool is "heated" but expect the water to still be a bit cold. All in all I would recommend staying here. Would stay here again if I come back to Madeira.

Hotel staff were friendly, all areas were clean and had adequate amenities. Breakfast was very nice with good options. However hotel charges €2 per day for tea/coffee in the hotel room, which should be provided with the room

Great hotel, fantastic rooms and facilities. My only quibble is that there seemed to only be one iron and board for the entire hotel, and there was no pool service at the pool. Apart from that, great place to stay.

The hotel was generally very clean and the staff welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was nice and the swimming pool areas were pleasant. The room was spacious, quiet and clean. The reception service was excellent! They could do with updating the games/gym/sauna amenities as these areas were dated.

Very pleasant hotel and staff, more than adequate breakfast offerings.

Went to see the fire works and was pleasantly surprised to find such a lovely and affordable hotel within easy reach of the center of Funchal and well within the tourist area and therefor accommodated nicely. The only fault that i had with this room was that there was not any kind of milk or substitute for my coffee which would have been nice first thing in the morning as i have 2 children and sometime was not able to get to breakfast on time.

The location of the hotel was perfect. It is close to the bus stop, shops and restaurants and is only about 10 minutes away from the city by bus. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The hotel was also recently refurbished so almost all the furnitures are new and clean. The only thing they can improve is on the selection of the breakfast. Maybe they could include more pastries.

Upon arrival the Hotel we were greeted by warm friendly staff. We were told that we had been upgraded to a superior room which was unexpected but nice. A tour of the hotel revealed several faults some of which were dangerous and a health hazard.Torn and ripped astro turf around the swimming pool. The children's play area was disgusting. Dirty unclean sunbeds. Stains on carpets,torn towels in room. Outdated paradise bar with torn dirty astro turf. No pictures on corridor. Food not up to standard at Breakfast. Not befitting 4 star rating, at best 2. we tried to relocate via expedia but the customer service didn't want to know unless we paid an additional fee. I will avoid booking with expedia again.

Amazing stay! Staff very friendly and knowledgeable,breakfast is nice and the pool area was great to chill after the long day travel. We recommend it!

Whole of the area around the swimming pool/bar area could do with a good clean!
