My family and I spent a night here and it was great. We loved how we could walk to the beach and see it from our balcony. The room was very clean. The only downside was the parking, it was a very tight fit and we had to do a 12 point turn just to get out of our parking spot. But it didn’t matter much because we could walk right down to the board walk for everything so the car really just stayed put.

Place was great very clean and staff was nice. Parking was a little tight but they did offer parking for bigger vehicles. Would definitely recommend staying there!

Hotel is in a prime location for many walking distance destinations- beach, boardwalk, food, convenience items etc. Staff is pleasant, the room was clean and presented nicely with amenities. The pool, while I did not use, appeared well maintained and clean. Parking is a bit tight so consider the type of vehicle, you’re bringing. Overall, a strong YES recommendation for anyone considering booking!

I really loved the laid back vibe of staff and hotel guest. The hotel is only one block from the beach/boardwalk. A STOP sign at the crossing would be great but I'm sure it's not up to the hotel. Housekeeping actually came each day the service request sign was placed on the door, which seems rare these days. It would have been nice to have a microwave in the room but the one in the cafe are was easily accessible.

The housekeeping staff of this property is the best I have ever seen. The room was smaller than it showed on pictures. But the stay was still ok.

Hands down, The Gateway Hotel is the best place we've vacationed in Ocean City, MD in our 25 years visiting! The only improvement would be better parking. The spots are too small.

Our family had a great time there, we njoyed our room and everyone was very friendly. My favorite art was the balcony, My only complaint is the shower in our room shot water to the back of the shower and not it the tub, but it worked fine otherwise. It was just the inconvenience of showering the kids, so water wouldn’t be flooding the floor. So they just need to adjust the shower.

The hotel is great for how close it is to everything. The only complaints, the bed was kind of firm and there was no microwave in the room

This boutique hotel was just what we were looking for in Ocean City - clean, conveniently situated and friendly staff!

We stayed one night and was delighted by the welcoming staff at the front counter and the young man employee who assisted us with parking my husbands huge truck. Plenty of parking onsite. Amenities in room were excellent...large walk in shower in large bath area. Very nice accommodations.

If you've been to OCMD before, or any of the mid Atlantic shore sorta, you know there aren't any Ritz level places to stay. However, between price, location and cleanliness, I think Gateway is one of the best options. Always pretty well maintained, friendly staff, tight but ample parking, and a block from the boardwalk. Pretty hard to beat.
