The owners were very nice and the food was excellent. The room was nice however we were disappointed with the bathroom. We expected a jacuzzi tub, but the jets didn’t work in the tub. There was no shower head, only a hand-held faucet, plus there was no shower enclosure. Made it a challenge to wash without creating a mess all over the bathroom.

Clean & tidy hotel in ideal position for my trip.

Family run hotel, nice owners, very convenient location for travelling, because just a little outside of the town center of Varazze. Fantastic food in their restaurant. Good continental breakfast. The only thing I had a small problem with was that the fan in the bathroom was not working, and that the showerfloor was not very nice.....broken tiles etc. The room was very hot, the aircondition was not on but eventually at night with a slightly open window it cooled down.

Easily accessible, 5 minute walk or drive to beach, on bus route!

My overall impression at Hotel Le Roi is that it is an exceptionally well run hotel. The Host is kind as well as professional and his staff made me feel like royalty. I am definitely coming back. Deborah

Lovely small hotel with views of the sea. Restaurant was wonderful. Easy parking. Friendly and efficient service. Breakfast was good with lots of choice.

Very nice hotel, clean, spacious room.

This is an excellent hotel. Although it is old it is bang up to date in terms of the rooms which were well fitted out with even a mini bar fridge. It was spotlessly clean with comfy big bed. All new curtains etc and also air conditioning. Balcony with loungers. The restaurant food was also excellent. It is right across from the sea so had lovely views. Great value for money. The staff were also friendly and helpful. We would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

The hotel was just off the coastal road and so some rooms have a fantastic view, unfortunately not all and we just got a glimpse of the sea from our room. The outside of the building wasn’t presented at its best but inside everything was very modern and extremely clean. The rooms had great air con and electric black out blinds, the toilet and shower were very nice and again very clean. Food was good in the evening under a covered terrace area and breakfast, included in the price, was very good. Great place for passing travellers

Our room had a balcony and nice view of the Mediterranean Sea as was booked. The food was ok and wait staff friendly and helpful.

We stoped here to break up a day trip Monterosso to Monaco and heading back to Milan. It was a great place to reduce this trip. Clean and walking distance to restaurants. The staff were friendly there was free parking and breakfast.

good hotel for the price. main issue is we had a rear room with shutters permanently fixed close and the heating would not adjust down. I think the front rooms would have a great view but cannot comment

Personnel were lovely when I checked in, ate a tasty pizza... the whole pizza! Helped me find a hair salon & treated me like family or valued client. Lovely town & people live in Verrazze

The hotel was okay. Easy to get to from the highway, room was very clean although there was some mildew in the shower. The price was fair and if you don't expect more than what you pay for it's fine.

Good for overnight stop.

The Hotel Le Roi is situated on the road into Verazze from the main coastal motorway and sits high on the cliffs overlooking the sea. I'm sure the view from the rooms overlooking the Med. would have been fantastic. Sadly there were none available when we stayed, we asked and offered to pay any difference but they were busy. The Hotel had a cycling team in with 2 trucks and a car, which made the car park tricky to exit when we left. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean and had a hydrotherapy shower. Breakfast was disappointing. Wherever we have stayed a continental breakfast has always offered meats, eggs and cheese. This Hotel had neither, nor was any milk available and the croissants were poor. One member of staff was on hand to provide coffee, which was excellent, but they were also manning reception so perhaps some attention to detail was lost. Because of the location it was quite a walk to the local town and beach. The road is very busy ( but did not detract from the room), and there are no footpaths. Overall a nice hotel but we expected a little more.

Family owned establishment takes pride on their service. This is bargain for such an amazing place to stay.
