The spa facilities are excellent, the staff is accommodating, and the rooms are immaculate.

A lovely Hotel, we enjoyed our stay very much. Lovely rooms, very clean everywhere. I would definitely recommend it.

Staff at front desk for check-in was efficient, professional, helpful and courteous. Room was quiet and clean. The air conditioning worked well, and there was ample hot water. Would definitely stay again. We would have appreciated a kettle in the room.

Room was clean. Staff was fantastic — particularly Melissa at the front desk. Wi-Fi was great, and A/C worked great. Only issue was that the room is very tiny. I was alone, so that was fine, but I wouldn’t have wanted to stay there with a second person.

This a well presented hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I had requested gluten free bread for my breakfast and the kitchen staff supplied me with bread, cake and biscuits every morning. The room was very clean and comfortable. It is around a ten minute walk from the hotel to the centre of Aveiro. Very happy with our stay at the Alfonso.

It is close to canal, which you can walk along to downtown. It was a small room but clean and modern. Very friendly and helpful check-in folks.

People were nice, rooms were cleaned daily; hotel places in local neighborhood to feel like a part of the community. Minutes walking distance from Main Street attractions… I would go back for sure.

This hotel is beautifully decorated. The location is good and close to the river. The staff are nice and helpful. I took an one-hour massage and only cost me 60 euros.

Arrived at noon and couldn’t check in until 3, despite all signs pointing to the hotel being empty. The front desk treated us like we were an inconvenience when we checked in. Not a single smile from the man or woman at the front desk. Absolutely brutal. The internet was unsecured—no password required. The two young guys who started at the front desk at 4, along with the young lady working with them, were awesome. Super friendly and made all the difference. The day we left at 6:30 am, we got temporarily locked in the basement. You have to press a button to get from the garage to the hotel. I assume the night clerk was not at the desk. There's a button to push to get out of the garage, but it wasn't clearly marked. The button is on the right side of the car, so you have to get out of your car to push it. When I explained this to the front desk, the man looked at me with clear frustration, as if it should have been obvious. Would not return bcause of the way we were treated at check in and check out.

Simple and clean hotel for a short stay visit to Aveiro city Center.

This hotel is near the sightseeing spots, can walk to the spots easily. But the hotel don't have water and kettle to provide, and they don't have fridge too, we need to buy water in the supermarket that's not convenient for us.

Very good for a 3 star. Great restaurant on site. Spa and fitness, breakfast was very good.

Hotel is located in a great area. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. You can walk to tourist areas.

It was wonderful to stay at Hotel Alfonso V. Good location that is close to the Forum and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was great and had tons of items to choose from and they are very baby friendly. We arrived at the hotel and initially were given a room with two twin beds, we asked to change room to get a double and they were very accomodating. Rooms are nice and chic and the hotel is clean all around.
