Friendly staff and generous breakfast. But otherwise the hotel does not warrant the rates charged. The overall impression is low quality, cheap and stingy.

Hotel Carlia provided us a comfortable stay for our one night in Uddevalla. The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains conveniently shielded us from any of the light during midsummer. The room was clean, though a bit outdated in the bathroom. Plenty of space throughout. It would have been nice to have more climate control as it felt rather hot and humid in the room. The window could be opened, which helped a bit. It was unfortunate that their gym and sauna facilities were being renovated as we would have enjoyed use of them. Although the area around the property has a lot to offer in terms of restaurants and small town shopping, the street immediately in front of the hotel is under construction and closed off, which made getting to the property tricky. The breakfast buffet was good, though it would have been nice to have items more clearly labeled for those with dietary restrictions/allergies. A member of our party is vegan and had some difficulty figuring out their options. When we asked the food service worker, she did not know the difference between vegetarian and vegan, so they recommended options that had milk and eggs. Other than these items, our one-night stay was comfortable.

First time in Sweden, this hotel was better then I expected. Rooms are great, very comfortable, sound proof rooms, staff is amazing and speaks English well and can help with everything, the breakfast is by far the best part OMG. The hotel is close to the central station which helps a lot, it’s in walking distance of grocery stores and many restaurants etc. by far a great place and I will be coming back very soon. ❤️

I booked a twin bed room and was given a single. I didn’t complain as it was one night but it should be for what I booked.

Nice hotel in the center of the city with a great bar! Great with free parking and breakfast included. Was not able to order doublebed, but it could be that it was sold out. I smelled that somebody had smoked when I walked into the room, but after the window was opened and we had a walk for some dinner it was ok when we returned. Overall a great stay, good location and good value for money.

Good, fairly average hotel. Quite noisy club nearby, but the windows sealed the sound quite well.

It’s a good hotel. I wouldn’t say it’s child friendly since we got dirty looks from other guests even if our son behaved perfectly. The noise from the street is very loud in the evening cars driving by with loud music. The rooms were very nice and the breakfast excellent.

Mycket nöjd

Hotellet hade bra frukost. Rummet hade dock inga handdukar, vilket jag märkte först när jag skulle duscha. Fick därför springa ner till receptionen och få ett par. Receptionen var vid två tillfällen helt obemannad, och det tog väldigt lång tid innan någon dök upp, framförallt andra gången. Ringklockan gjorde inte mycket nytta.

Låg mitt i centrum, när till restauranger

Vi fikk oppgradering gratis til et større rom. Det var flott og nyoppusset. Baren hadde stort utvalg og passe høy musikk fra det gode 1970 tallet 😀 Skybaren på toppen av hotellet var også flott med fin utsikt

Lett å finne, god rimelig parkering like ved. Stort rom, stort bad. Ganske god seng. Hyggelig betjening. God, veldig variert frokost både varmt og kaldt. Hotelet er absolutt verdt pengene. Selv om ikke alt virket nytt, men bra vedlikeholdt og komfortabelt. Eneste som jeg ville heller har på rommet det er vannkoker, istedenfir strykehjern. Hotelet har avtale med fitness senter like ved, så vi kunne låne kort, men det viste seg det var kun 1 kort (og vi var 2), så det var litt rart... men det gikk bra.
