Good location on one of the main roads, with the tram just in front of the building, and many izakaya in walking distance. and reasonable price

Location was great. City’ Main Street, two minutes to bus station to go to airport. About five minutes to main train station. About 15 minutes to major sightseeing areas.

Bathroom is not very clean for Japan standard. House keeping didn't take out trash. Far away from JR station. It's not convenient if you use JR pass often. Very poor Wi-Fi.

Kagoshima is a relative small city and this hotel is very near the Tenmonkan area with lots of food options. In fact, the hotel is very close to pretty much most of the places that you would like to visit during your stay in Kagoshima. You can virtually walk to anywhere. Interior-wise, I think this is a hotel that has been around for a while and while they do a pretty decent job at maintaining it, it is not one of those "sparkling, brand new" hotels. But in fairness, the place is clean, bright, has a decent wifi. Not much to complain at all. For the price that I paid and given this is in Japan, this hotel is pretty good value. Will gladly come back.

another hotel with hard, stiff, uncomfortable bed. i think all these hotels that provide in-room massage service intentionally have these awful beds. i have cramps and have to take some painkillers. the a/c unit here is a joke - you can turn it on and select low, med, high but you can't do anything else like choose heat or cold - it would blow regular air when cold and do nothing when i wanted cold. i don't think i'll be staying at this washington brand anymore unless no other left.

On the tram route, around halfway between station & port on a department store shopping street. Busy main road, so book a high floor

The hotel offered car park with 1300 yen per day, however there are a few public car parks just next to hotel and max is 900 yen per day. In addition, there are many restaurant surrounded the hotel and with lots of variety of food to choose, also fruits and cake shops too. Also walking distance (within 30 mins) to the pier for ferry trips. We didn't take the tram (2 stops to the pier) because we want to walk around the city. Furthermore, the hotel is located next to the shopping distinct. The room was small (typical JP standard size room) but acceptable. At least I can open up my suit case flat on the floor (I had experience with other JP hotels that I need to put the suit case on my bed cos there was't sufficient space on the floor). The room and bathroom are clean and the bed is comfortable. Overall, we are happy with our stay, and we will come back to this hotel for sure.

We had a twin room with two decent size beds. The hotel is in a convenient location, easily accessible by bus and trams. It is also very close to the main shopping centre Tenmonkan. The room is clean and comfortable. I would stay there again if I go to Kagoshima again.

Hotel and rooms are as described on website and generally reflect the 3* rating; clean and functional rooms; very friendly staff and good location close to Tenmonkan shopping area. A little noisy at night due to close proximity to main street but that's the same for all hotels on this street. Overall, good value for money.

It's a fair hike from the JR station; about 20-30 minutes as you exit. Alternatively you can catch a tram and get off near it which is about 2 tram rides; get off near the Tokyu hotel stop which is about 2 stops away. Buy having said that, it's a convenient location to then take the tram for all the attractions. Like all Japanese hotels it's very squeezed size accommodation, but does the job. For the price we stayed at, can't complain.

Nice hotel. Good location

Very convenient location at Tenmokan. Walk 15 minutes to the Dolphin Port for comfy hotspring foot bath, walk 5 more minutes from Dolphin Port to Sakurajima Ferry port to take the 150 yen one way ferry to Sakurajima Volcano Island (24 hour). Nice view of Mount Sakurajima at my room at level 10. Earnest and very kind staff!!!

天文館にも近くて便利 宿泊前にメールで部屋の窓から桜島が見える部屋をお願いしたら14階の部屋で桜島も見えて 大満足です　また、鹿児島に行く時は泊まりたいと思います

天文館にあるので、交通の便利がよく、ホテルも清潔でよかった。

繁華街に近く、空港行きのバス停も近く便利が良かったです

コインランドリーを利用したかったが2台しかないうえに長時間放置されてうる方もいて利用できず、外部のコインランドリーを利用した。
