Do not expect 5 stars hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable beds. The check-in was easy and good,considering we did arrive 45 minuts before the check in time. Friendly staff and helpfull. The hotel looks tired and old , it needs a refurbishment, specially the bar/restaurant, but it's got so much potential. The breakfast was fine, preordered the day before.

Absolutely wonderful place!! The staff are fantastic. The building is full of character. The breakfast is exquisite (and very generous). The beds are soft and comfortable. Everything is clean and quaint. The rooms are delightful. The location is great, and with convenient parking. It’s such a friendly place. We’ll certainly be booking to stay again!

I wasn't expecting much. Just a bed and a sleep before going accross the irish sea after a few laps of snowdonia on my motorcycle, rooms are a bit tatty, everything works, tea and coffee in the room, clean comfortable bed, lovely soft towels, complimentary soap and shower gel. Free Parking for the motorbike. The breakfast was Excellent and well thought out, you tell them what time slot you would like, pre order the night before, you go down and you're table is set up for you with your contintal choice (bannana, yougurt, orange juice, cornflakes, jams), followed by your choice of english breakfast and the choice of how you want your eggs done! The toast is fresh and warm. This warmth is extended to how you are treated by the staff. I will stay here again. Thankyou🤠

The pub is convenient for the university. The bed was comfortable. There was plenty of hot water. However the cleaning stopped at the basics and the DIY was poor. The breakfast was well cooked but the ingredience left something to be desired.

Honestly never had such an awful experience staying at a hotel. My work had booked and paid for me to stay here. When I arrived I was told that it had not been paid for so I would have to pay and the charge for the room had gone up by £10. Getting to my room, the door lock doesn’t work. I was told by employees that you have to ‘lift the door a bit’ in order to make sure it locks …. There aren’t any handles on the outside of the door so you cannot lift the door from the outside. Then to make it even worse - I go to have a shower and the shower does not work. I went downstairs to say can I move rooms and I was told no as no other rooms are available and that I have booked a ‘bath only’ room. I told them the room was pre booked and paid for which then they did apologise for, but basically said there is nothing that can be done as there’s no other rooms. Unfortunately I have car shared to come down to Bangor so I cannot just leave. Otherwise I would be cancelling my work event and going home tonight. Utterly disappointing and shocking. The floor in the bathroom is also sticky…
