Lovely lake-facing room with a wonderful view. Comfortable bed. Spacious shower with lots of hot water. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to the convent and funicular. The walk back up from town could be a bit challenging for older or unfit people, but we enjoyed it.

We took a quick overnight to Locarno from our Italy vacation and I’m so glad we did!! The room was comfortable and clean the view awesome. The staff friendly and helpful especially in the restaurant and bar. Also the food top notch from aperitif to dinner and breakfast best we have had in Europe so far!!!

The staff at the bar was a little dismissive and rude, maybe because we spoke English.

The stay was awesome, the staff were friendly and the turn on at bedtime was beyond exceptional.

Excellent hotel for quality of service and amenities. Well maintained condition , very clean. Lovely garden area to relax and use the pool. We travelled by train and only down side was the steep uphill walk to get to the hotel from station. Only 10 mins but hard going with luggage. Hotel provided a free public bus ticket on check in which was great for getting around the local area.

Liked view. Didn't like cigarette smoke from neighbor's room.

We had a lovely get-away for a few days. Hotel and staff were very accommodating and the restaurant was outstanding for dinner.

Beautiful hotel. Big, clean rooms and nice, cozy bar with a cool atmosphere because of the artwork throughout the hotel. If the weather had been nicer, I would’ve spent more time in the lovely garden. I would stay here again, but be cautious of the location. The hotel is quite far up the mountain, away from the lake. We had a car so it was no problem.

Only got to stay one night at the traditionally elegant hotel in Locarno. Excellent location for views of the city and the lake. The hotel is one of the original grand spa hotels in Locarno and has an old-world European style and character that may not be to everyone’s taste but it is definitely comfortable, impeccably clean, great pool and spa area, beautiful grounds and excellent buffet breakfast selection.

Wonderful hotel with large and very clean room. amazing view(lake and mountains).excellent service specially Deborah in the reception and Vitor in the breakfast (prepare the best omelet). Good location close to the center . Very nice Spa and swimming pool in the last floor with amazing view. Excellent hotel highly recommend. For sure we'll back again.
