A well-appointed, welcoming hotel in a quaint, classic Amsterdam building right on the canal. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. They helped us with our luggage and were very kind to store our numerous suitcases while we walked to get our rental car. We had an apartment on the ground floor and it was spacious, nicely decorated and well stocked. The heater worked very well and we were toasty warm. We would love to stay here again!

Room was beautiful, staff was very friendly, coffee machine was amazing, and we loved the cat that seems to live there as well. The only hard part was the steep stairs, but everything else was lovely. A short walk to every place we wanted to go!

The staff is so kind, the location is incredible, and my room was huge and beautiful. I will return!

Lovely hotel with excellent staff. We especially loved the welcome ambassador cat, Casey. Also appreciated the espresso machine in the lobby. Our room was super spacious and comfortable, clean and quiet. I would definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay in a great part of Amsterdam. Staff was very friendly and helpful. You can walk to everything. It’s right on a beautiful canal. The room was a pretty good size with very comfortable beds. Everything was clean. We loved it.

A beautiful old hotel well maintained. I judge a room by the bed and the shower and both were excellent. Staff is very helpful and attentive.

Very nice property situated in a gorgeous area, walking distance to tons of shopping and restaurants. We had no problem getting all over the city from the location. It took a moment to get used to the very steep stairs but that adds to the charm of the property. We also enjoyed the little cat that lives there! The staff was helpful and polite. We also appreciated the complementary snacks for guests. The room overall was nice and clean. We were provided with clean towels every day. Would recommend or stay here again!

We had a terrible experience. An employee entered our room and stole our cash and cards while we were away within 24 hours of checking in. We left the do not disturb sign, but that didn't stop their employee with keycard access to go into our room and go through our things. There is video evidence and we have a case open with the Amsterdam police to get to the bottom of this. We had to stop our holiday to go deal with management, the police and having to go to the police station to file a report. The bed was also broken and sunken in on one side. The only 'boutique' thing about this place is the premium price. Do yourself a favor and find a safer spot.

We loved our stay here. It was such a great location. Our room was large, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were helpful and friendly. They provide coffee, tea, and filtered water for free in the lobby. If you stay, don’t miss Wolf Bakery only 1/2 a block away.
