Nice view for our room, and the massager woman from Brazil, Analina was excellent. I would highly recommend her if you are into massage

It’s a very relaxing environment in addition to the spectacular scenery! And the hotel staff are very attentive.

Expensive for what it offers.. its supposedly a 5 star but in reality its not more than a 3 star.. very small rooms with the shower and bath in the middle of the room.. making the room very dump after taking a shower.. very small tv, the sink is the middle of the room to.. only the toilet is in a cramped space with a door.. very expensive food, the spa was not ON in middle of August.. and prepare your self of a 40mim drive in a road with curve after curve without protection rails and a 150m fall..

Cleaning is not so good to an ***** we expect more

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and set in the most amazing valley and vineyard. The Chapel is gorgeous, the rooms are spacious and the pool is a good size. The facilities are great. Transfer to and from Rede Station included, but not from Régua. The restaurant is not very good at all - the vegetarian rice dish was very bland and the food poorly seasoned, but the wine was fantastic. It was also great value.

Estava tudo como esperava. As instslacoes estao bem cuidadas e o pessoal é atencioso.

Entra muita luz pelas janelas do quarto de manhã. Choveu e entrou água para o quarto pela varanda. O pequeno almoço é bom e o lugar sossegado. Não me parece um hotel para 5 estrelas.

5 star hotel with breathtaking views and outstanding service

It was an incredibly beautiful experience... local scenery was breath taking and the repurposed 15th century home made this a very different and unique experience.

We visited the Douro Scala in March (the off season) and enjoyed excellent, personal service in this breathtaking location. Our spa style room with soaker tub and separate shower, patio overlooking the vineyard, and very comfortable bed felt luxurious - bathrobes were a nice touch, too. Upon arrival we enjoyed our free wecome port overlooking the vineyards and touring the restored 17th century house. The dining room served delicious local cuisine with excellent service and fabulous views of the Douro Valley. The breakfast had everything you could wish for - and mimosas. Staff was always friendly and helpful (and spoke English for us). Highly recommended!

Due to a scheduling error we needed to book a hotel at the last minute. This was a fabulous find. Would definitely stay there again!

Funcionários muito prestativos. Paisagem maravilhosa. Mas imaginava o hotel muito melhor. Academia abandonada, piscina interna em reforma, mas nos foi avisado. Café da manha razoável. Piso do banheiro com respingos, o piso é em madeira, mas me foi dito que aquilo era cêra que não havia secado......não me convenceu. O hotel continua pelos funcionários atenciosos.
