The hotel is in a great location just off the Royal Mile. The room was nice too. The air conditioning didn't work the best but we managed to stay comfortable by opening the windows for a bit. The biggest complaint is the location of the room. We were in the Cockburn Street rooms meaning we had to take the elevator up to the 5th floor, navigate thought the halls to another building and then down the elevator to the 4th floor where the room was. It was a bit of a maze with little bits of stairs along the way. This was not fun when arriving and departing with our luggage. It wasn't too bad the other times.

Perfectly located to go do all the touristy things. Sparse amenities but great spot to crash in the night

Able to accommodate last minute after our first hotel lost power and offered no help to rebook. Located in a PERFECT spot AND it was quiet. Would stay here again!

Location is awesome, walking distance from the train station and a short stroll to the Royal Mile. We arrived early and were able to check in early. Staff were very helpful! They called a taxi for us to go to the airport and it was quick and easy. Room was comfortable.

This is an absolutely prime location to see Edinburgh for the first time. It’s a 3 minute walk from the drop off and pick up for the Airlink shuttle stop which is cheap and easy to get to and from the airport. Then you’re right on royal mile with quick walks to all the sights. The staff was super kind and helpful and the room was spacious and clean.

Excellent location easy access to airport shuttle bus if using it and the royal mile is 50 meters away No cooked breakfast available and no dedicated dinning room you eat in the bar and there aren’t proper tables to eat off I would not take breakfast option next time I would go across the road instead

The location was excellent but this is a no-frills option. You’ll have everything you need though. Our expectations were high because it wasn’t cheap but I guess it was that cost because of where it’s situated. Lovely breakfast, although it’s really busy and a lot of options were gone (like the delicious pastries) when we went down but to be fair, this was at 9.30… It was nice to be able to leave our luggage after check-out and the airport shuttle bus stop is a short distance from the hotel… We were put in a room that was very far from reception (up and down stairs, 2 elevators and what seemed like a labyrinth of passages) so if you have difficulty walking, perhaps let them know when you book… The beds are incredibly comfortable but the towels were worn and were a bit threadbare so loads of positives but some considerations…

Great Location and Comfy Bed, But a Few Missing Comforts This hotel has an unbeatable location right in the heart of Old Town. The staff were incredibly attentive, and the room, though small, was very clean and featured a comfortable bed. However, our room only had a skylight for a window. Additionally, the towels provided were very small, and there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom, causing the entire room to become steamy very quickly. It's a solid base for exploring, but lacks a few essential comforts.

The room was okay, amenities were good. The hotel is lacking in, no ice container, having. To buy the bottle of water. Another sore point was having to lift our suitcases up approx. 9 stairs to the front desk, then being told there’s another entrance with only 3 stairs. Once checked in, we had quite a few stairs to traverse before we made it to our room. We choose this hotel for the proximity to the Royal Mile. I can honestly say we got our work out everyday!

This is a high-end perfectly located hotel in the heart of Edinburgh. My only complaints with the hotel was that the water pressure was almost non-existent on the 7th floor, where we stayed, the blackout curtains were not effective in June, and the breakfast was not included in the high daily price of the hotel. Edinburgh is a walkable city and this location makes it even more so. The hotel has a very nice breakfast bar (which is VERY expensive and not included in the hotel daily amount), the staff is very helpful and catered to our needs. The bed was comfortable All of the above logically translates into a high billing rate, especially if you visit during the height of the tourist season as we did, but it is generally worth it. One way to lower your cost is to get breakfast at one of the many coffee and pastry shops nearby.
