Staff were very nice. Beautiful location and gorgeous property. I didn’t like the fact that animals were in captivity. We went to Nayara next and found monkeys were free there jumping from tree to tree. It also got very crowded during the day as they allow outside guests to the gardens. It is priced high compared to other luxury properties and its overall value. Adding the breakfast can be a good feature they can offer. Overall - staff are very nice. We likes the trails and waterfall. Value for money - not as good as Nayara

Our stay at the peace lodge was magical. From the accommodations to the property to the staff, all exceeded our expectations. Nothing the rest of our trip in Costa Rica could compare to the 2 days we spent here.

Wonderful trip- from as soon as we were picked up by a very helpful driver to our drop-off. The property is incredible - beautiful views of the volcano and cloud forest canopy, stunning trails along waterfalls and river paths, beautiful hummingbirds everywhere and fascinating encounters with frogs (the night tour was fantastic thanks Pablo) and toucans and big cats etc. Rooms are spacious and beautiful with stunning views. The staff are second-to-none, from the helpful front-desk staff (who had a night lunch waiting for us and an early morning breakfast due to our check-in house), to the warm and engaging wait staff, wonderful cleaners and park staff- all very knowledgeable and thoughtful and friendly. We did the white water rafting, zip line which were very fun- excellent guides again. The volcano walk, coffee plantation tour and boat safari were fantastic with a wonderful expert guide (Michael)- crocodile, howler monkeys, sloths, gorgeous birds. We learned a lot. Wish we could have stayed longer, highest of recommendations and thanks to all!

Most relaxing and private location

What a great place to stay in Costa Rica. The staff is outstanding and helpful in every single way. The room was excellent, comfortable beds, beautiful bathroom, and a front Lanai that is unbelievable.

We had an incredible stay at the Peace lodge. The room was so beautiful with two whirlpools inside and out. The staff were so accommodating and helpful for our every need. The food was excellent and the cost was reasonable. We would definitely love to come back again and again!

The room exceeded my expectations! The staff have been very friendly and welcoming, the amenities in the room are terrific and the many hummingbirds just outside the room make the stay very memorable.

Staff are extremely nice and accommodating. The room was clean and the bathtub with the waterfall: AMAZING! The views and the sound of nature was incredible!!!

Excellent room and service

The Peace Lodge is a tranquil escape. There are not very many rooms, so the grounds are quiet. You get the opportunity to walk through the animal sanctuary on the grounds. The resort dog Rusty was very friendly and a welcome sight. The menus were on the expensive side and some more affordable options would be welcome, but the quality of the food was excellent.

This is a very clean and nice property. The level of service and amenities does not match the price. We have stayed at places in Costa Rica that are nicer and better attention to detail but for much less money. You would think that breakfast should be included at the very minimum. Bring your own water to drink they charge $4.50 for a 20 ounce bottle. We would recommend the La Paz Waterfall Gardens as a day trip but find other lodging nearby if you are price conscious. Also, there are lots of steps no matter what part of the property you are going to. If you are not able to do up and down stairways very well then do not stay here. Good experience overall. Too pricey.

A MUST SEE. NO true need to leave the property....everything is right there & top knotch. Things to do, food, spa, sightseeing....just WOW!

This place is just beautiful. It’s like everything Costa Rica has to offer in one place. The staff and hotel manager are top notch. Highly recommend you bring your hiking shoes and enjoy the entire property. You will not be disappointed. This is a must see hotel.
