Good hotel, second time we stayed there.

I would have liked to give a rating of 5 stars, and I feel they could deserve 5 stars…IF they did not try…and well in one sense succeed in a “bait & switch” of the room I reserved and what I received upon arrival. All in all…I will give the registration staff (Sofia and Suzzane) I interacted with 5 stars…for what occurred in my reservation and stay with them was not in “their” personal control. For what occurred with the “bait & switch” starts with the owners and management…and they as front line staff are there to check people in and ensure their overall stay is the best available! The reason for my “bait & switch” comment is due to what I reserved online via hotels.com, was far from the room I was presented with. The room reserved was a superior twin room with pictures showing a large room with a beautiful balcony and view of the lagoon/ocean. However the room received was later told to me that this is actually what is the superior twin room. I took screen shots of what I reserved to a picture of what I received and it was far from what I reserved. I was told the pictures on the website signifying the superior twin room was actually of a “suite”, which they only have two of, yet NO actual way to reserve a “suite” via the website (only by calling in or emailing them). Yet never having been there before…how would I know this? So yes…be careful when booking a superior twin room when all you will get is a “basic” room and not what is pictured online.

Beyond our expectations!

Liked the beach location. Bathrooms need updating. Also breakfast food was always cold. No hot plates for eggs, etc. Wifi kept dropping out.

For what I paid, the accommodation was perfectly adequate but quite basic. Breakfast was the same. Very nice lagoon views. A little climb up and down if you don’t have a car.

I knew that property was dated, but was disappointed that there was extensive mild on bathroom ceiling. Staff was nice. Nice pool

Good location. Be aware that Satnav does not take you to exact location. This is about 500 meters further on.

It was a clean room; however, it sometimes had a bad smell

Just a one night stay. Superior twin / double with lagoon view. View was impressive. Very short walk to beach. Small room but very comfortable. Juliet balcony so not big enough to sit on but lovely sitting in room with balcony door open looking over lagoon. Excellent breakfast buffet with cooked breakfast options, cold meats, smoked salmon, cereals and fruit. Great value for money in February.

Great view from the hotel, beds were comfortable and great buffet breakfast selection. The cleaning or laundry products used left quite an intense smell in the rooms which wouldn’t go away even with the windows open. The fridges in both our rooms didn’t work which was inconvenient as we had to store medication, and the reception staff member didn’t speak English. The showers also didn’t close properly so a lot of water leaked on the floor.

It is a nice property with multiple buildings on a hill side, and across the street is a large beach, with some good restaurants and an easy to drive road that takes you up or down the coast. Lisbon is only 1 hour's drive away. Has a nice bar with food as well. Nice people around at work!

Amazing views from this hotel. Well situated on the top of the hill. Breakfast is very good - should try the on-the-spot freshly squeezed orange juice!

The property location is amazing, views are awesome. Service is great, everyone was friendly and helpful. I had a room facing the hill (no waterfront/ocean views. Room was clean but decor was utilitarian- basic… reminded me of summer camp. If I ever go again I’d upgrade and get a Oceanfacing/front room so you can wake up to the epic views. I’d stay there again due to its proximity to the beach.

Staff didn't speak nothing else than Portuguese or didn't try to. The building and the room smelled Bleach fairly strongly. The breakfast was very disappointing with light Kool-aid taking the place of orange juice.
