We booked a couple of nights at this property. There are two buildings, the main one where the reception is located and another building close by where we stayed the first night. As we arrived on a Friday evening, we had a room on the first floor of the annex which has a bar under it that closes at 2am so we could not sleep until then. We found out that it only closes that late on Fridays and Saturdays so we asked to be moved for the second night. If you stay on all other nights, Sunday to Tue is closed and on the other nights it closes at 11pm so not a huge issue. The hotel needs a bit of a refurb as the rooms are dated and the windows should at least be replaced with double glazing to help with the noise. There is a free car park close by and the town is walking distance.

Not much to say.

This is an older property and fairly run down. The property manager did keep it “quaint” and safe. The worst part was the street night club that sets up right next to the building each night. The pounding music was so loud that it literally shook the building. A decent night’s sleep was impossible.

Booked to stay at the Lacko hotel Lidköping, had to check in across the road at the stadt hotel. Got there and they told us the Lacko hotel was closed and thar we were staying at the stadt instead. The room we booked a suite was nice and large with a sofa table and chairs. It’s an old hotel in need of refurbishment. There was an espresso machine in the room but no capsules no coffee or tea facilities, the soap for the sink and for the bath had runout only 1 dressing gown very few towels. There was a tv in the main room and a tv in the bedroom which was nice.

The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast selection was good. The room itself wasn't great. There was no shower curtain, so as expected the bathroom floor was covered in water afterwards. A blackout curtain would have been nice for this time of year when the days are long. There is a black curtain but no pulldown blind to truely blockout the light. The bed was reasonably comfortable and a decent tv was available.

The location was perfect and the restaurant had marvelous local foods. Would highly recommend this to anyone staying in the area.

Nice room. Was told there was a nightclub below on Saturdays, but we never heard any noise from it.
