Room was very small. No interaction with staff. Location was good. Easy to get into city center.

Flying visit -easy check in and comfy bed. Lovely breakfast. Even although we arrived late there was still a parking space! Great value

Our party of 4 had spacious rooms. They were exceptionally clean. And there was a wide variety and hearty enough options for the continental breakfast to tide us over until lunchtime. Close to the bus stops. Would definitely stay there again & highly recommend.

I stayed for 2 nights. Delighted to see they provided real coffee and slippers. Its the little things. Host was very charming. I felt safe and comfortable. Bed was cosy. Breakfast was delicious. No complaints!

The breakfast each morning was excellent with fresh cut up fruit and a choice of delicious croissants. Plenty of hot water in the shower.

House is situated in quiet suburban side street, only a short walk from main walk from where buses to/from Edinburgh city centre regularly. Details regarding check-in and access to premises and room were provided digitally in advance. Property is well appointed and well maintained. Our room was bright, spacious and clean. Function over fuss reflects the decoration and fittings. Breakfast (continental) was freshly prepared to order and very good.

Lovely, cute and quiet place to stay in Edinburgh. 4 minute walk from bus stop that takes you into town. Would definitely recommend. Hosts were lovely.

Although I had no bathroom ensuite, I did have my own private bathroom. The breakfast was great. I was able to leave my luggage there before check in time, which gave me time to explore a bit. Bus stops very close by.

Dropping off our son at university this was a good place to stay just around the corner from the halls. It’s a good neighbourhood, reasonably quiet. Dorstan House is a huge, grand old Victorian house, tastefully decorated. Self check in was easy with all the codes being emailed two days before arrival. The breakfast was really tasty and plenty of it. It’s delivered to your room. I’d stay here again when visiting our son. Richard was extremely helpful as we needed an extra room for our son as we’d arrived a day early!

We have stayed here before during the Edinburgh Fringe. This time it felt more impersonal, with breakfast delivered to our room, and no opportunity to meet with other guests
