On arrival there are no signs to reception because there is no reception. There is only one lady called Nina handling guest relations and she’s probably working in the restaurant on the beach. The standard room we booked appeared to be in a different hotel completely, had a bare concrete floor, an ugly slated bench and nowhere to hang your clothes. Beds were hard. Only good feature was the shower. Swimming pool near the beach was small, there were very few loungers around the pool, very little shade and two umbrellas. Beach side restaurant average. Unless you have your own transport a beach walk at low tide into the centre of Lamai takes 40 minutes. If you really want to stay here pay the extra price and choose a deluxe room.
