We loved our stay.

Beautiful location with so much history. Very much enjoyed sitting by the fire place on a chilly evening, playing board games as a family. Nice to have live music also. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Property excellent @ charming in many respects but inadequately prepared for cold weather. Fire alarm while we were there revealed inadequate security procedures.On the whole a very pleasant stay.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Dalvay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We especially enjoyed cozy evenings around one of the 3 fireplaces. Terrific spot for a very relaxing getaway.

Hotel was amazing, the rooms were so beautiful. The only critique is the bathrooms in the room. There is only a pedestal sink so nowhere to put anything and the shower had a curtain around the whole tub and it would stick to you when showering and there was nowhere in the tub to put anything not an ideal shower situation would be nice if the bathrooms were a little more updated. But other than that the whole experience at the hotel was amazing!

Beautiful property close to the beach. Had dinner at the restaurant there and it was excellent.

Pros: beautiful historic building, friendly wait staff, reasonably priced and tasty breakfast, relaxing atmosphere in bar with pleasant live music Wednesday evenings, cozy fireplaces in the lobby and beautiful library. Cons: although a known issue on check in, the fact there was no hot water in our room wasn’t disclosed. We were only staying one night. But another couple stayed two and had the same problem both nights. No compensation was offered, although I notified them upon check out. In addition, I filled out a Contact Us form hoping to receive a reply but nothing heard.

We enjoyed our stay at the property. It was so nice to sit by the fire. The dining experience was excellent. Beautiful restaurant property

Both wonderful

We booked this for our mini honeymoon the three nights following our wedding (end of Sept) and were excited to stay in the King Suite. But ended up being quite disappointed. The room was very cold with no heat and the front desk person wasn't the nicest when we asked for extra blankets. We weren't expecting the red carpet but at least a "thanks so much for choosing to stay here for your honeymoon". Some of the staff were great but generally no one cared that we had chose Dalvay for our honeymoon over Blackbush or elsewhere. It's a beautiful place but badly needs updating as the gov't did recognize and will eventually put money into the main building. But, we wouldn't stay there again until that happens.

Dalvay by the Sea has the charm you are looking for when visiting PEI. The hotel is beautiful and the grounds of the hotel have much to offer. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant and both were very good. The beach is minutes away by foot. Booked a room with a view and highly recommend. I know reviews have stated this already but rooms have no TVs so I am mentioning it but the hotel has so much to offer and makes you feel like you are stepping a bit into the past so it is not necessary. Lobby and common rooms have fireplaces, board games are available as well. Hope to visit again soon!

We were instantly greeted at the door upon arrival. The gentleman who welcomed us was so polite. He explained several things about the property and offered us to come back after dinner to stroll around the property and down to the beach. We took him up on it and we were handed a flashlight, towels and when we returned we were showed to the fireplace for warming. We felt so special our whole trip.

We really loved staying here for our honeymoon. The whole experience was very peaceful, quiet and cozy. The building itself was amazing to stay in, such a well preserved piece of history. The room had stunning views, was so comfortable and very clean! Staff were very kind and always made sure everything we needed was there. Had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, which was delicious. Very helpful and accommodating for food sensitivities. One of our favourite things to do was to relax by the fireplace. Can’t wait for our next visit already!!

We loved this Inn! Impeccable staff, grand interior, lovely food/dining. We enjoyed having coffee in the library in the morning and reading before breakfast. A wonderful stay! My only minor note is that in the upstairs wing where we stayed, the walls are pretty thin so you can hear others.

It was a great stay until the front desk charge the dinner and breakfast twice. When I checked out, I paid those by cash, however she charged those via my credit card as well. I asked her to cancel and she said she would do however it did appear on my card bill now.
