This place is amazing the staff were super nice and helpful and the view of the river from our room was beyond what we imagined it would be. We will stay here again!

My treehouse room haven was exactly as I remember and I LOVE the large open windows to the property to listen to the wind, dozens of tropical birds, howler monkeys and the powerful thunderstorms of the Mayan Mountains. The bed and bedding are cozy and if you’re picky with your coffee… bring your own pour over for the room!!! The staff is exceptional and always available to meet any need. A meal delivered to your room even if you’re picky, they smile and are so kind and polite!!! A personal touch of showing you the monkeys location in the morning down at the far scope on the dining room deck overlooking the river. Or offering to arrange a tour or a canoe on the river. Never missing a beat and always accommodating. Good regular brew is at the ready at the dining hall too… you have to get dressed though haha The property is breath taking and very walkable with birds as mentioned, lots of reptiles, small animals and if you’re lucky maybe a Keel Billed Toucan!!! The pools are both lovely and have a different feel so I recommend trying both. Meals are exceptional… from the grilled steak, garlic mash & garden salad, afternoon wings and Caesar by the pool or evening curry with home made cheesecake all made with care and served with love! Yep… love Dream Valley!!!

Wifi was spotty. Husband was having a tough time working. Movies kept pausing and buffering, so that made it difficult to see anything all the way through! Food was excellent! Staff was friendly and accommodating to the best of their ability. My last stay was 10 years ago, Aug 2016! We noticed lots of upgrades to the property. We'll be back, and will choose our 1st room #3 next time!!

We had an incredible stay here. The pools were beautiful and well kept. Food was good, of course pricier than local options but still fairly priced and fresh. The landscaping and grounds and boardwalk were a dream though. Amazing work they have done here. It has to be decades of tending and pruning. The property manager was able to help us with our tour plans as well. We found cave tubing and ziplining through her connection to be cheaper than booking online.

It’s a great property, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The layout is expansive and peaceful, with multiple pools and a serene jungle atmosphere. That said, you’ll definitely want to rent a car if you plan to explore, grab food, or go on excursions—transportation to and from the resort ran nearly $200 each way for us. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to secure a rental. Overall, if you’re looking for something affordable with an authentic jungle getaway vibe, this is a solid option.

We absolutely loved the grounds. Saw a ton of birds including parrots, a kingfisher, warblers, hummingbirds and toucans to name a couple highlights. The big issue we had was the room was attached to another and it had no sound proofing at all. So we could hear conversations, we could hear and feel every movement by our neighbor. The room was nice other than that though. Beds were comfortable. Water pressure was strong. Room was spacious and clean. We would return if we could stay in a single family cabin but doubt we would return otherwise, unfortunately.

A beautiful hotel with great staff and gorgeous setting. The river-view suites are HUGE, and our kids loved the pools & amenities. Howler monkey calls and toucans, and gorgeous river views.

Everything was great. My only complaint is that they played music and other tv noise at the restaurant. The nature sounds is what I came for, not bar music!! Please make the restaurant a no music zone and let us listen to the birds, geckos, and howler monkeys!! They are amazing!!

The place is a bit dated, but overall a nice serene escape if you're looking to disconnect and relax. Staff was super polite and helpful the entire time. Upon entering our room, it was clean aside from a condom wrapper on the ledge and a used condom in the trash can which we can only assume came from staff after the room had beed cleaned. That was pretty gross and not a great start to the visit. Several of the lights in the room didn't work and the private plunge pool is not heated, but not a big deal. The toilet wouldn't flush and I found out that the mechanism was literally being held together with a gum wrapper, but was able to fix it enough to have an operable toilet. The main pool was nice, though a little dirty and also unheated. Food was very good, but kitchen hours were pretty limited which again isn't a huge deal but would've been good to know beforehand. The location is down a very bumpy dirt road and not close to anything, so it's a 25 minute drive each way to food or drinks outside the resort and you'd want an SUV or pickup if driving yourself (not as scary as you think, if you're new to Belize) as a small car would bottom out quite a bit. Overall we were pleased with the trip and found some hidden gems, but this probably isn't a place I'd recommend unless you want to stay on resort the whole time.

I had an amazing experience at Dream Valley Belize. The staff is truly outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. The property itself is huge, beautifully maintained, and incredibly relaxing. There’s so much to do—you’ll never feel bored. From the two pools to the variety of games and activities available, it’s perfect for both families and anyone looking to unwind or stay active. The location is fantastic—peaceful, scenic, and perfectly situated to enjoy the surroundings. Although we didn’t get a chance to try the spa services, the range of amenities offered at such a great price point is impressive. And the food—absolutely delicious. Every meal we had was really, really good. Overall, Dream Valley Belize offers an incredible combination of comfort, activities, value, and service. Highly recommend!

Dream Valley was a perfect combination of location, relaxation and privacy. We stayed 4 nights in cabin #7- a spacious room with a private plunge pool overlooking the Belize River. The resort is located close to the ATM Cave and mid-way between Belize City and San Ignacio- a perfect staging point for all your explorations. The resort is staffed by a fantastic team- Lucy, Carmen, Kelly and Jenny (and others!) made our stay very enjoyable. They are super friendly, attentive and accommodating. The food was amazing, with lots of options. The resort offers spa treatments (we enjoyed massages), a couple outdoor pools and we highly recommend taking the canoe for a paddle up river- we saw all kinds of wildlife, including the entertaining Howler Monkeys! Would highly recommend including Dream Valley in your Belize plans.

This was the best resort I've ever stayed in, staff was super friendly, the resort and spa was relaxing, my time there was enjoyable. Next time I come back to Belize I'll make sure to stay here. Also the restaurant food was fabulous. Definitely will recommend to anyone wanting a jungle relaxing experience in Belize.

We had a wonderful stay here. The property is beautiful, clean, and very relaxing. It’s a little off the beaten path, which we actually loved because it was so peaceful and quiet. The staff really made the experience special. Carmen at the front desk was fantastic and very welcoming, and Kelly, our server, was incredibly patient and accommodating throughout our stay. The food was consistently amazing, and my friends really enjoyed spending time at the pool. Overall, it was a calm and comfortable place to unwind, and we had a great experience. I would absolutely stay here again.
