The staff was excellent in this hotel to make certain that all needs were met. We did not dine in the hotel with so many restaurant options close by but the breakfast looked wonderful. The location was right in the most expensive shopping area that also included the finest restaurants. Also discovered the Coffee House a 10 minute walk and they had incredible cappuccinos and best eggs Benedict anywhere.

The room was a bit small for two people , we had a suitcase each and had them around the bed to unpack our clothing and there was no room to move . The location is very good and the staff were very good .

A small boutique-like hotel with new and modern nice decor in a renovated old building. Staff is kind and professional, breakfast is excellent, restaurant is also very good.

The property is well located. We could walk easily to the main areas of interest and it was a short cab ride f to on the airport. The service here was exceptional. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very comfortable. The restaurant was very nice. Excellent breakfast.

Unfortunately, our stay at PortoBay Liberdade did not fully meet our expectations for a 5-star hotel. Upon arrival, we were disappointed that the hotel’s VIP perks, which we were expecting, were not provided. After our first night, we spent the day exploring the city and returned at 17:00, only to find that our room had not been cleaned. We had to contact the staff to have this resolved. On the second day, after another long day out, we returned to our room and were shocked to discover an eaten apple left on our suitcase. Additionally, our spa treatment was delayed by half an hour, and we were only informed about this at the last minute. On the positive side, the hotel’s central location is excellent, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was rich and enjoyable. Overall, while there are some highlights, we expected a much higher standard of service from a hotel of this rating.

Stayed 1 night at Porto Bay. We requested a quiet room and were given a room next to lift and by the current building works going on so asked to move which was accommodated and we paid a little extra for a junior suite facing the main road which had a balcony and was quiet. Room was clean, nice bathroom products but overall a little dated. Bed comfy and powerful shower. Good location but on a one way street so taxis struggled to find us. Roof top small with a jacuzzi not pool. Bar closed. Staff friendly and helpful. Overall a pleasant stay.
