Very pleasant experience

Regular visitor to The View. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Breakfast is great. Only downside is the bar food option needs changing. But there are many restaurants etc close by. I book via a third party website, because it’s cheaper than booking directly.

I've stayed here a few times and it's a great location, breakfast is always good.

Lovely central hotel, great views, friendly team. Immaculately clean. Only downside uncomfortable beds but appreciate this is personal choice. Wonderful to see building history.

Had a lovely stay and a great room and friendly team

Room was quiet, clean and with good decor; bathroom was nice and clean too. Rooms were quiet. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and food (we only had breakfast) was fresh with lots of choice. Only minor criticism was the pillows. Too hard for my liking. Overall, we enjoyed our three nights stay. Would recommend.

Great location

Breakfast was okay, would have liked more fresh fruit. Double room was spacious and clean with a side view of beach. Used room service as we arrived late back from theatre, very impressed with quick and hearty sandwich plate. Very convenient location,modern hotel.

Excellent overnight stay. Check in was welcoming and easy. Room clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and have already booked to stay again.

Breakfast was lovely a large selection of buffet foods

The breakfast offering was extensive. Self-service for cooked or continental, you can request porridge which is available in an "instant pot" that you just add hot water to. It would be good if "homemade " porridge was available, but I guess if there is not much call for it this would not be economical.

The hotel is wonderfully presented, it is clean both inside and out, the rooms, foyer, reception area, bar and restaurant are all impeccable. It is right on the seafront so you get a brilliant view from most areas, the hotel are able to provide a permit for reduced cost parking opposite the hotel which is great, I'm glad we didn't do it on the app in advance as it would have cost us more - it would be good for this information to be more easily available. Breakfast was good quality and plentiful, the bar was reasonably priced for drinks, my only disappointment was one male member of staff on arrival who was a little rude when I queried about rooms not being close to each other when I both rooms were on the same booking, he responded with "well you booked with a different website so how are we meant to know?" However the lady who we were actually dealing with on check in was wonderful and all other staff were very friendly and helpful.

Friendly staff. Breakfast was alright. The room was run-down with a noisy air conditioner and a gurgling bathroom sink tap.
