My wife and I spent three nights there in mid October and would stay there again. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The breakfast was excellent, the staff friendly and the location superb as it's close to the train and tram station and lots of places to eat within walking distance. Angers has lots to see and the Grand Hôtel de la Gare Angers was the perfect location for us to explore this wonderful city. Merci!

Recently stayed at this 3-star business hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The room offered a surprisingly nice view. Room service was prompt and courteous, definitely a highlight of the stay. However, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The room key was unusually heavy and a bit inconvenient to carry around. Also, the breakfast selection could use some improvement — it lacked variety and felt repetitive after the first day. The hotel was quiet and comfortable, making it a good place to unwind after a long workday.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel in the family room. Location is great and the staff is friendly. However I would avoid this hotel at all cost. We had no air conditioning or fan in our room and it was so hot that we couldn’t sleep. We asked for a portable fan and were told none were available. Unacceptable to leave guests experience this in a 3 star hotel! The hallways were also extremely hot with absolutely no circulating air. Every year it gets hot in the summer in France and this hotel should plan properly to make their guests’ experience more enjoyable. It is not a cheap hotel either!

Very good location next to the treinstation. The rooms are small but very clean and you have absolutely no noise because it is well isolated. The redeption was friendly and the checkin proceeded smoothly. The weather was good and the fountain was on (see picture) which gave a great view from the 5th floor of my room. Only small problem is that the doors open from both sides and can only be locked with the key. Great for a short stay overall!
