Beautiful riad in a perfect location in the medina. Close to the outer walls, convenient for airport drop off and pick up. We also booked two activities and were picked up about 5 minutes away. Friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast. Spotless room and relaxing communal areas. There is a tourist tax on departure which we didn’t know about but less than £20 for 4 nights.

The Riad was beautiful. We loved our time here and would definitely stay again. Breakfast was simple but delicious. A tray of breads and a small cup of yogurt and fruit was provided daily with juice and coffee or tea. The riad did not accept card for other services (hammam) and tourist tax which we were not told about until we were checking out so it made for a rushed departure to have to leave to get more cash out so be prepared to leave with some extra cash in hand for that. Overall a beautiful riad, our room was lovely and felt private despite the intimate nature of riads. We look forward to visiting Marrakesh and Riad Olema again.

A great Riad and stay! Everyone is so kind and helpful. They helped us with a taxi to and from the airport along with a guide our first day in Marrakech. Rooms are clean and cozy and breakfast is great. Highly recommend!

This hotel is an oasis of peace in a wonderfully busy city. It is a beautiful place with exceptional rooms and services but the staff are what make it so special. They are so helpful and attentive and make you feel like royalty! A very special mention must go to Hakim who is just the most polite, helpful and amazing person! He will answer any questions and offer tips and information to make your stay and visit perfect. On a rainy day he organised for us to have a Hammam and massage in their Spa which had not been due to open that day! The Hammam experience was sublime and so welcome on a cold wet day! Breakfast was fantastic! Always something traditional and all fresh and tasty. It was such a lovely way to start the day, sitting in the courtyard, listening to the water fountain. We had such a wonderful stay at Riad Olema and can’t recommend it highly enough. We had pretty poor weather but going back to a roaring fire and mint tea at Olema made our stay perfect!

Beautiful Riad in Madina and close to everything in Marrakech. The Riad is super quite with plenty of spaces to unwind and relax. The staff couldn't do enough always going out of their way and are on hand to help at all times. I would stay here again.

Everything about this stay was perfect. A calm oasis and retreat from the chaos outside! We particularly liked the relaxed breakfast each morning. We didn’t eat any other meals here but enjoyed some coffee/tea by the pool. The terrace up on the roof was a lovely space and our room itself had everything we needed. Staff were fantastic especially Hakim who looked after our side of the Riad. The souks are a short walk away and once you navigate those, the main square takes about 20mins to reach. Some tips: At the top of the alley when you leave the riad, turn right and about 2 shops down is a bakery with priced items at a fraction of the tourist price. Keep walking further down to the right and once it becomes more of a ‘market’ there are a few charcoal bbq places where they’ll grill some meat with spices and pop it in some fresh bread with sauces for honestly 10% of what some tourist restaurants are charging for a main meal.

Gorgeous room, lovely staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Amazing views over the city from the roof top. Walkable to all the main attractions, souks and this Riad is a real find.

The riad was a quiet place to relax despite the hustle and bustle from outside. Staff were polite, friendly and willing to help with a smile. There are two resident cats and one tortoise which kept the children entertained after returning from a busy day exploring. Spa was also relaxing. Thank you.

Our experience at Riad Olema was amazing. The host Samir was welcoming and very knowledgeable, he gave us excellent information on hiring cars as we were in Morocco for a road trip. The riad is clean and the breakfast was delicious. The pool was right outside our bedroom, with this we really did have a true Moroccan riad stay. This Riad also has a lovely roof terrace with a Jacuzzi.

There were cockroaches in the washroom. We paid through Expedia and Alexandra, the French owner didn't care. She tried to cheat us. She added a night. She tried to charge us taxes for our daughter who is only 10. We showed her our receipt that we paid through Expedia for everything and she didn't care. She tried to change our currency which is against Expedias policy. Everything was paid for through Expedia in advance including the extra guest. They added an extra night as well. She did not care. Cheats.

The staff at Riad Olema were kind and attentive throughout our stay, and their day-to-day hospitality was excellent. However, we were charged for a pillow stain and almost charged for a missing shampoo bottle that was clearly in the bathroom (they removed the charge after we pointed it out). They also called us a cab but didn’t tell the driver we were headed to the train station — he was on the way to the airport until I caught it on the map. Apparently, this miscommunication has happened before. Great service overall, but some small issues to watch for during checkout.

This hotel is interesting! While the building is intriguing, the staff don’t know how to run a hotel. As an example, they said they will start serving breakfast at 8am, and based on that we scheduled our taxi, and day’s activities. When we came down at 8am, there was no one in the equivalent of the lobby, with the exception of a man, sleeping and snoring loudly on a sofa! After a while we found the guy who was supposed to get our breakfast ready, and after about 20min he started putting a few small cups of yogurt, a few small packs of butter and jams on the table. And when I told him that we are on the clock and need to leave soon, and asked him for other things that he had forgotten like bread and coffee, he didn’t like it, and he gave us the cold shoulder!

The property was clean, friendly and helpful staff. Open courtyard, well maintained. Quick access from the drop off. Only suggestion maybe having the name posted in main road so can be found easily for the first timers.
