The property itself was decent, but the room we received looked nothing like what was advertised in the photos. Additionally, the in-room amenities were quite limited — only a hair dryer and an electric kettle were provided. Since we arrived late in the evening, we had no means to cook a meal and struggled to find a nearby place that served food at that hour. For anyone planning to stay here, I'd strongly recommend coming prepared with your own food arrangements. As for the hot tubs, the property has two, both of which are kept filled at all times. Unfortunately, we never got the chance to use them, as they were almost constantly occupied by other guests

We got in late and couldn’t figure out how to lock the door for a while. Then, around midnight, there was a knocking sound that was constant and seemed like it was coming from the roof. I didn’t know what it was but someone in another room, who also couldn’t sleep, got it to stop. However, it started again around 5am. Ridiculous!!!! We had to leave early for a flight so we were in the room less than 7 hours and it was not worth the money! Beautiful area but with no one on the property to help if you have problems! Tiny bathroom. No shade on the window of the front door.

Good hotel

Beautiful rental on a peaceful property. Clean room, great amenities, easy check-in, amazing location for serenity just outside the capital.

Beautiful! We were thrown off by the european door locks and needed someone to help us lock the door and someone came very quickly. Rooms are small but nice. Surrounding area is gorgeous. I do wish that they had blackout curtains but that's a me thing. The midnight sun threw us off.

Unique surroundings around rooms decorated in old fisherman style. Enjoyed the hot tubs after our circle tour & south coast tour.

Hot tub was quite hot but very enjoyable to watch the sunset from. Never interacted with staff which made for a very easy check in and check out. The property location was amazing, unit as described.

What a jewel of a place! We loved being out of the city. The rooms were super comfortable and clean. Would highly recommend.

The Hlid Fisherman's Village was an incredibly peaceful and beautiful place to stay on our first visit to Iceland. It was only 15 minutes from Reykjavik but isolated enough that we felt like we were in our own world for the week. The rooms were lovely with great views of the water and local birds. We also appreciated having access to the hot tubs and sauna on site.

If you like a theme, stay here! Very cool feel. The winds were absolutely screaming all through the evening and overnight, so if you're a light sleeper, beware! We had so much fun here.

Parking was easy and plentiful. There were great ocean views and I loved the traditional Icelandic Fishing Village Vibe. The hot tub and hot water from the shower were extremely hot. They also had a strong sulfur smell due to nearby geothermal activity. Bottom line - I would stay here again and recommend it to others

Favorite stay of our week-long trip! Great views, northern lights, very clean, wonderful hot tub and sauna on the rooftop that is shielded from the wind but able to look out over the coast. Loved it all. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved every minute here. The breathtaking view from our window was reason enough to stay here. We intend to return.

I couldn’t find the hot tub, or the staff to ask where it was. Check-in was NOT smooth and I was kept waiting in the cold for 20 minutes before somebody came to unlock my unit, which was supposed to be unlocked already. Luke-warm water in my unit. They only had packets of instant coffee. While the view is beautiful, and it is secluded, pack your own food and drinks. Expect no service or help with anything. And if you want the hot tub, only book the units with a private hot tub so you can actually access it.
