We had a very nice stay here. We appreciated having a good restaurant on site, as nothing else was open in town. Note: this hotel is located in Sabuguiero, not Seia, so it’s a little more remote.

A spacious and comfortable room, excellent restaurant, and a lovely little pool with a mountain view. I loved the village and the dogs.

A beautiful and modern hotel. The dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant were very good. This is a perfect location if you're hiking to Covão dos Conchos (less than 15 minute drive to the parking area).

This is a wonderful place to stay, the whole team is very friendly and efficient. The food is local with a touch of modern style, it is what I would call « mountain » food meaning generous, delicious with local ingredients. The rooms are fully modernized, calm, spacious… Highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely modern property. Staff were superb. One of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve experienced. Dinner in the restaurant also very good. Only thing we did not like was the shower over the bath. Not very practice or safe for older people or those with mobility issues. Thanks for a great stay.

The Abrigo da Montanha was a hotel where they've really thought about the little things. The furnishings are all great, well selected. It looks classy. The restaurant has a partnership with a local and excellent winery in Casa de Passarela as well as stocking craft beers from down in Coimbra. The food has excellent presentation, taste and value and the staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The spa was small but really well laid out. The pool is wonderful in the afternoon and the steam room/Turkish bath was one of the best I've used in Portugal. Parking was easy, but I don't know if this is because it was a quiet period for tourism. The only negative was that the air con in my room was a bit noisy on two of the nights, which did interfere with my sleep a bit. That said, I'd definitely go back and may well do on my next visit to the area.

Excellent restaurant, conditions, breakfast and location. The water in the spa pool was colder than expected and the blow dryer was very low power. Other than that great place to stay!

We only had 1 night here in mid-September and due to the fact the hotel was fairly empty we got an upgrade to a room at the front of the hotel. This was a spacious room with a sort of enclosed balcony area housing 2 chairs and a tiny table (just big enough to put a couple of expresso cups on). I was told that the area is more picturesque during the winter months when they have snow and I can imagine it's a great view from your hotel window. Not sure I'd like driving up there with snow and ice on the ground though. The restaurant was pretty good for the evening meal and not too expensive. Breakfast was adequate with scrambled eggs and bacon together with the usual continental cold meats and cheeses. We didn't get time to look around much outside but there didn't seem to be much around so if exciting night life is your thing then this may not be for you. The surrounding area is quite barren and if you want to 'get away from it all' then you couldn't get much further away. The room was comfortable and all the staff we came into contact with were helpful and friendly. If we ever go back to Seia then I would be happy to rebook here based on this experience.

Great Spa, Amazing Views! Property feels like brand new. Family room is great for a small family stay! Perfect location for those who wants to enjoy the best of Serra das Estrelas!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with lots of variety. Homemade yogurt was wonderful. Dinner was excellent quality and reasonably priced. Very little choice in dining at night in Sabugueiro. Good location for hiking trails near Torre.

I honestly did not expect to like this hotel as much as I did! Me and my family loved the rooms, the staff was lovely and helpful, the restaurant was amazing and super affordable and the spa was just the cherry on top! We're definitely coming back and I really recommend it to anyone seeking a few days to relax!
