The hotel is in a prime location. The design and decor is sophisticated and provides for every need. We will definitely be back!

The room was beautiful, and we enjoyed every minute. Parking was a conundrum but worth the effort. Five-star rating.

Room was clean. Staff were very friendly. Did not have breakfast. Shower was small and could have been cleaner, it was worn out and leaked water everywhere, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker.

Sabina was an excellent host. She did a great tour with us ($). We did not do the in house breakfast due to numerous restaurants in the immediate area. Great steam closet in the bathroom!

This is a nice clean hotel in a spectacular location. You simply can’t beat the location and the hotel has done a great job of updating the rooms in an old building. We will stay here again on our next visit to Florence.

This hotel is wonderful: the rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, staff is friendly and check-in/out times are somewhat flexible. There is an elevator up to the hotel floor which is very fortunate (you’ll only have to go up a 10-step staircase to get to it, better than most Italian accomodations). Wifi works great, you’ll need it as no cellular signal whatsoever gets through the thick walls and ceiling, therefore the rooms are quiet. It is also conveniently located on a driveable street, so you can get off a taxi right on its doorstep (or have the receptionist call one for you right to it when leaving), and just a 5-minute walk away from the Uffizi Gallery. Technically there is breakfast available upon request with a day in advance, but no one seems to ever ask for it. It is also a very limited selection so you’re better off going to one of the nearby coffee shops.

Great to get an early check-in, welcoming host and full of information about the history of the building and the area. And lovely room and bathroom. And luggage could be stored there for a while after checkout. Great all round.

Location was ideal! Room was clean and the staff were friendly. The only issue (which didn’t affect us) Expedia stated that check-in was 10am but it was Actually 2pm. We didn’t get there until 2pm.

The staff was exceptionally dedicated to service. I travelled with family and had accidentally booked the wrong room for one of my family members. The woman at the desk was very understanding and went above and beyond in accommodating a room change. I would very higher recommend this hotel!

Wonderful, historic hotel. Beautiful room with a great street view. Very clean. Highly recommended. The only negative is that you have to drag your luggage up one set of stairs. Luckily they are low so it makes it easier. Definitely worth the stay at a hotel built in the year 1000. I hope to stay again.

Well the hotel is convenient, close to tourist spot. The room is hot, they can’t adjust the ac. The shower room drainage is clogged. The lady who checked in us, discouraged us not to purchase a breakfast from the hotel. She said there is a lot of restaurant to go. The first room that we went is not that much spacious, so me and my wife requested a bigger room. The receptionist said, I can transfer you to other room but you need to go to other room early in the morning .

What a wonderful stay at a beautiful property!! There are a few stairs up to the lift to negotiate with your bags when you arrive, but thats understandable when you are in central Florence and the gentleman on reception very kindly helped us in. We can't speak highly enough of the welcoming, friendly and informative reception staff, who were keen to give us "insider" knowledge on places to visit and eat during our stay. They definately made it feel like a home away from home. The location is absolutely perfect, with the Duomo and all the major gallories and museums just a few minutes walk away. It was fairly noisy in our room with the windows open, but significantly reduced by the shutters being closed at night and again, you are in central Florence, so it is expected to be a bit noisy as its a bustling, vibrant city. There is a city tax to pay at the end of the stay, but its only 8Euro per night. We would definately recommend the hotel, the staff and the location. Our stay in Florence was absolutely perfect and we look forward to going back as soon as we can!
