Absolutely great! People, both guests and staff, were all friendly and pleasant. Room is clean, everyone's respectful (read: quiet). The common area is a nice, fun place. Fridge, available. Utensils, too (though I chose to use biodegradable ones). Microwave, toaster, hot water - all there. The bathrooms were clean and the shower area may be small but it doesn't feel cramped. There was drizzle outside, the hostel provided umbrellas for guests. Location is great. If you mind walking a couple blocks or 3, then take a cab or bus. I don't mind the short walk. This is two shakes from Canal City (super mall), about 3 to 4 blocks feom Hakata Station (main hub). 2 or 3 blocks from Gion Station. There's a supermarket just across, so you gor yiur needs covered. Hankering for late night treat? Family Mart (think 7/11 for the unfamiliar) just beside. Five stars.

I love the place! Very aesthetic and cozy. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Cafe and bar also offers decently priced food and beverages. It's also just next to Canal City and a few minutes walk to Hakata station and the Nakasu area/Yatai scene. Will definitely be back!
