Breakfast was very good and in a lovely peaceful garden. Staff in the hotel were fantastic, really helpful even under pressure. It was horribly hot the weekend that we were there (unusual for Cardiff) but they did everything possible to make us comfortable with fans (no air-conditioning).

Great stay, although the restaurant is closed on a Monday and Tuesday so you can only have a very limited bar menu, you can only use the swimming pool at certain times, which is ridiculous, you also have to pay another £25 per person to use the jacuzzi and that’s limited timing to, this hotel is set up for spa days not hotel stays !

Staff were lovely, amenities were fantastic. We had a room with a bathtub in the bedroom and it was beautiful. Lovely Indian restaurant in the town also called Brothers Contemporary Indian.

Friendly helpful staff. Room was perfect, clean, had everything we required and decor fantastic.

I was unprepared for the location to be within a residential housing complex. I had imagined a country retreat. The venue itself was fine but we had an unfortunate experience in that the extreme weather meant our room was ridiculously hot. The lovely maintenance men got us an extra fan but unfortunately it just moved the air round rather than cool the room. That’s when it got difficult as we asked to Cxl the second night stay but we were refused a refund stating they can’t control the weather. Whilst I wasn’t making a complaint I explained that in extreme weather (this was record breaking temperatures) maybe they need to be a bit more flexible as they didn’t have air conditioning. They refused. Whilst they did offer we could return for one night at a time if our choosing I didn’t really understand how that was any different to simply refunding us one nights stay. It seemed short sighted and as we live 3-4 hours away we may not get to take up their offer. I felt strongly as a business is was an inflexible attitude and means the difference Bwn us recommending the venue to others or not. Food good, spa okay, had a nice facial, but as a resident it’s a Shame you can’t use the pool all day. It’s on the small side so I guess capitalising on the spa day market they need to free up sun loungers as there were only 6!

Wonderful 3 night stay in a deluxe room, food in BLOK was divine and we loved our time using the indoor pool, such a beautiful hotel, staff are a real credit to this place, especially Helen at breakfast time who helped us plan our days out.

Second time visiting here and we decided to go for one of the suites. Definitely worth the money we celebrated my birthday and was left a lovely little note with a treat on the bed as well as the bath in the room! Very clean and made use of the pool in the evening which was quiet we went about 8pm had it to ourselves. Breakfast was a little slow as we only 1 member of staff on but apart from that good selection. Everyone was really friendly. Would recommend

Had a wonderful time. Although we only stayed one night, surroundings and hotel were lovely and relaxing. Staff could not be faulted and the food, excellent. There is a lovely quiet ambience to the hotel, ideal for all.

Excellent place to stay and the only downside was that I wasn’t there for longer. Rooms are clean, bright and modern. Friendly staff too. Definitely on my list of places to stay again if I’m ever back in the area.

Good stay. Location was a surprise. Slam bang in the middle of a housing estate. Spa facilities were basic. Food was good and cleanliness was excellent.

We didn't use the amenities much. The bfreakfast was excellent and the room was comfortable.

Myself and my partner were really impressed by the beautiful decor at Lanelay Hall the hotel and our room was very spacious - the biggest room I’ve ever had whilst staying at a hotel. The happy birthday treats and petals were a really kind lovely touch too. The location was disappointing as we pulled up to the hotel gates in a housing estate (our expectation was a countryside hotel). Also one of the skylight blinds was broken in our room and left a gaping hole of bright light into the room which woke us up at 5:30am on our special night away. Overall a beautiful hotel and great service but location and the broken blind disturbing our sleep really put a dampener on our stay.

Staff were exceptionally courteous. The room had not been cleaned due to room tag had blown off door. Not a good system.

There was only one chair in the bedroom so nowhere for us to sit with a drink. Separate bedside light controls would be useful .Otherwise very comfortable .

Very , very nice place to stay- quieter hotel perfect for a relaxing getaway. Staff are very friendly and helpful there also and make you feel very welcome. Superb breakfast provided also, with great choice and the best products also. While here you must eat at Blok restaurant, it is an experience you must have if you are a Steak lover.

Lucky to get a complimentary upgrade on our room. Room was superb, bed and pillows really comfortable. Staff were all extremely helpful, breakfast was freshly cooked and of a really high standard.
