Quirky but up market accommodation Food & service excellent

It’s a very cute place and the staff were lovely and welcoming. Room was very clean. If you’re visiting from the US, just know that there’s no air conditioning, just an oscillating fan. And for some reason they don’t use flat sheets, just a down comforter, which is far too hot without AC. I had to leave very early and no one was there and the front door was locked. It took me 10 minutes just to figure out how to get out. I’m sure this would be a very nice stay for someone not trying to get a good nights sleep and a shower. For me, though, it missed the mark.

Fabulous place. Beautiful Decor. Warm welcome. So close to Hay and the festival. Great food. Very comfortable bed. Nice atmosphere and spotlessly clean. Highly recommend.

Beautifully furnished room and fantastic evening dining. Full breakfast the following day cooked to order. Staff are brilliant and so helpful, made our stay very relaxing.

My daughter and I, stayed for one night and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Are room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. We had a meal in the restaurant, which I must say was excellent. We also had a delicious breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel .

The hotel is maintained to a very high standard, the rooms and common areas were all very clean and well presented. Comfortable bedding and fluffy towels. Really nice little touches all round. Breakfast was very good and staff made a great suggestion for a nearby walk.

A great hotel in a lovely village, with mountain views and river walks. Beautiful decor, nice sunny courtyard for drinks, and the bar is not overpriced. Staff were very busy on arrival, but still attentive and efficient. They work hard and it shows, immaculately clean with great service. Breakfast is fab too. Would stay again if we are in the area.

Lovely room as always, but this time we noticed that breakfast had changed. No lovely continental option and only one a la carte choice. Breakfast was in the bar area and the floor was rather grubby. Certainly not as clean as in previous stays.

Really friendly and attentive staff. A perfect break, lovely modern room with great facilities. Food, both breakfast and evening meals were super. Will recommend and return ourselves.
