This is an economical 2 star hotel that’s clean and comfortable but desperately needs some upgrades. Great staff and serviceable breakfast.

Super friendly staff member checked us in and since the on site bar was closed made a dining recommendation. Our room was clean quiet and comfortable. There is an older man who we were told is a resident of the hotel that we each had a slightly unnerving encounter with…nothing confrontational…just made us uneasy enough to make the enquiry at the front desk.

We were there for a convention with a banquet as well. Food was great. Service was great. Staff very friendly.

Attended a weekend conference for model railroad enthusiasts at this hotel. First off they laughed when I said "Where is the lake?" There is no lake to view at this Lakeview Hotel, there is a wee bit of a slough a few blocks away. This hotel is adequate, I guess. Hope the event organizers got a good deal for hosting costs. Hotel audiovisual equipment failed - NFP club had to buy a new projector and borrow portable sound system. I paid $45 for a banquet ticket, should have grabbed a burger next door. My first floor room faced the parking lot near main entrance, rather noisy, but convenient. Free Breakfast worth every penny I paid for it - thankfully there is an AW next door. I found their coffee undrinkable and I use Keurig so not expecting fresh ground bean taste. The mini brewer in the room was marginally better - it was drinkable. But for coffee an AW, McD's and a Timmy's within a block. The OK rating for nice sized room, decent bed, working fridge and microwave. I'd probably not choose to go there again.

Hotel was very easy to find, it’s centre, close to everything (gas station, restaurants, fast food places & there’s even a liquor store across the street), receptionist was friendly but professional (although she seemed like she was on another call while checking me in), she helped me changed to a different room when I asked. The room itself seemed clean enough but my initial room (403) smelled like it was previously a smoking room so I asked to changed, this was dealt with quickly but the new room (411) still smelled like smoke so I just gave up and sprayed my perfume all over the room to help with the smell, good thing I was really tired and just slept. Next day, woke up to shower found out, shower has no curtains but I was already ready to shower so again I just didn’t want to deal with anyone (i literally just woke up lol) I just showered and of course the water sprayed all over but I tried my best to use all the towels they have in the bathroom and went about my day. The breakfast that’s included in the room surprised me, even though it was small, the hot breakfast was eggs, sausage and pancakes, it was delicious! They have other stuff too like toast, bagels, cereal and oranges and apples. Overall was good stay but due to the smell in the rooms not sure I’d stay here for more than one night, just good for overnight stay.

Friendly staff. Very Comfortable beds!

Staff were excellent and they kept things clean. It's an extremely affordable, albeit somewhat dated property but did have a massive new tv in the room. For anyone just needing a quick stop to rest it'll provide good value for money. Area was quiet.

Fresh breakfast but limited options

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was cleaned everyday. The room had a big smart TV. It had a refrigerator and a microwave oven. The washroom was well maintained and clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good and was not repeated every day. The hotel has free parking and internet.
